If you didn't bought it yet buy the GF6800, it's better at least for Doom3.

I fail to see how an M rated violent game is "anti-God." Even in real life, violence can be unfortunately necessary. If someone tries to take your life, it's not a sin to defend yourself for crying out loud! War can also be necessary when it comes to another government who is threatening the saftey of the world. The Old Testament is full of accounts of the ancient battles the Israelis encountered.

The reason Nvidia's card did best on Doom 3 tests is because Doom is using OpenGL, at which Nvidia excels. However, most games use Direct3d, which ATI owns at. I have read countless tests comparing the two new ATI and Nvidia cards. ATI is still on top. The only advantage the Geforce has is Smartshader 3.0. ATI willingly left this out of the X800's design to have more transistors devoted to pure power and to make the card run cooler. In most cases, ATI is still ahead of Nvidia.

I am 95% sure that Nvidia and Id Software had a special deal going so that Nvidia chipsets would be the best thing to run Doom 3 on. Now that's just that one game, but still I do believe that the GeForce will win out on Doom 3. But that's at the extreme top edge of performance anyway. How many people's systems are going to be so good that it matters anyway? ATI and Nvidia will both run high end games with great results. I'm thinking the GF FX 5700 Ultra I have will make Doom 3 plenty entertaining.
