If this ends up being a double post, then there's a glitch with the board software. Hopefully not.

I read all of this site earlier and it proves to be very descriptive and informative. I noticed however that the minimum system has listed 384 MB RAM... I have 256 and I just bet it'll be my luck that it's insufficient. I really don't want to buy more right now because I'd have to buy PC2100 or 2700 ram and that's kind of old. I'd just have to throw it away in a year or so when I get a better computer. Anyone heard any different on the ram situation? Other than that I should be able to play it in high quality with no trouble.

My system:
cpu: AMD Athlon XP 2600 (333fsb)
memory: 1GB PC3200 RAM (dual channel)
video card: Radeon 9700 Pro (overclocked)
soundcard: Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro

That should be sufficient, but I'm still getting the X800 XT PE for a graphics card so I can run it at high settings. My current setup would run it on medium quality. Currently, there are no cards capable of running it (with good performance) in Ultimate mode. That requires a 512mb graphics card!!!

If you're wondering about your setup, here's an awesome guide to help you discover what your system is capable of: http://www2.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjQ0

That's the same link I put in my previous post. Yeah after reading that site I figure I can play it in high settings pretty well... I just have 256 MB of PC2100 RAM. If I had a job I probably wouldn't be opposed to getting a new system right now. Currently I stand at Athlon XP 2000, 4x max AGP motherboard, GeForce FX 5700 Ultra, motherboard based surround sound... Aside from the GeForce I've got tv/radio hardware and a dvd burner for maximum rippage/video capabilities. All I would really need is new ram, motherboard and cpu. Bleh. Money. I'll figure something out.

Haha. When I saw that I almost physically fell out of my chair. And it's a rolling chair. That's not very nice AeroFennec .

Doom III did kick ass but imo it lacks in a way that I can't go through it again without it kinda boring me.
Unless of course I use noclip and fun cheats like that.
The old ones seemed to have alot of replay value to em.
Multiplayer was fun.
Nothing like chasing people down and beating them with your flashlight. heh
