I have it, but I haven't read it yet. Currently, my friend borrowed it so I can't read it right now. I started it, but I think I forgot about it and then lent it out.

I've got about 80 to 100 pages left. It's not the greatest book ever written, but considering it was done by a 15 year old says a lot. I'm interested to see what happens in the sequel.

Just finished the book...and I don't want to wait 7 months for the next book, Eldest. It comes out in August of 2005. Anyone who likes the Lord of the Rings Trilogy would like this one too. All the great fantasy elements are there: humans, elves, dwarfs, wizards, sorcery, magic, vast lands and a legacy in the making. The book did a great job at differentiating between the types of magic that could be used and was perfectly elaborate...and only to imagine that it was written by someone who started writing it when he was 15.

I read the book. I liked it for the most part, but there were just some lines in there ("whirling like a dervish") that just begged me to give Paolini the finger.
I'd hoped that, as the child of two published writers, that Christopher would have some sense of political-correctness.

I just finished reading "Eragon" and it was a great book! I can't wait until Aug. 23rd when "Elder" comes out. It was had a good plot and the characters kept the book flowing. Next summer the movie "Eragon" will be coming to a theatre near you, I am counting the days.

I'm reading this book now and I think it's awesome. I think it's even awesom-er that it was written by a 15 year old. For some reason, youth seems to amplify imagination and make things more fresh. And I bet it was fun for him, writing about a character his age. ^^
