Question Eragon [BOOK]

Has anyone else read this book?

I'm just looking for a second opinion (or third, or...), in case I just missed something.

Uhm...I don't think we're on the same page here.

Its sequel is The Eldest.

But Faerie Wars was a good book too.

Unhappy

yeah , I was reading that book , but I got completely lost after a few pages. The start i thought was great , I loved the crimson haired guy and his goblins. It reminded me alot of lord of the rings. With the elves and dragons.
but i only got to the bit where hes going through the woods.

I'll read it after I read "InkHeart" and "Jonathon Strange & Mr Norell".

That Jonathon Strange book is huge so it will be a while before I get back to reading Eragon.

the sequel is Eldest
I read it, partly, then I just put it down and got busy, it was summer. I'm reading Alice in Wonderland right now, so I'm not going to get back to Eragon for a while..

Duh, my mistake. I have Eragon sitting in my room on my waiting list to read. Yep, I was referring to Faerie Wars. Disregard anything i've said. Although I do know the general premise of Eragon.

Ive tried over and over, I just can't get into it, it drove me nuts for my Children's lit 203 class. I wanted to throw it out the window, but I also think it was cuz I HAD TO read it. I have this issue about HAVING to read books. I didnt read Harry Potter till about 3 years after it came out, because everyone was telling me I would love it lol. Im stuborn!

I caught this thread a while back and asked for Eragon for xmas. My parents got it for me and I'm just getting into it. I read for maybe an hour...at most...and I'm like 50 pages in. It's a really easy read and if you can keep up with it the book is awesome. I read that the Inheritance trilogy is supposed to be a catcher for the LotR followers.

I'm also shocked about the author. Paolini graduated highschool at 15, published Eragon at 18 and was a New York Times Bestseller at 19. That's got to say something about how bright of a career as a writer he is going to have. I can't wait for the who Inheritance Trilogy to be out.
