I don't think of My Immortal as over-used and am delighted it will probably be in that film (though I haven't read the books or seen the first one).

I'm hoping that My Immortal is used in many films and other projects to come, and that it becomes an Immortal Classic, which the masses will know and love 50-100 years from now and beyond. I hope the Band Version is used though. Too bad that wasn't the only version, as Amy and/or Ben have said

MI got so disgustingly overplayed when it was a hit that I'm STILL tired of hearing it like 3 years later

I like the song, and I do think it fits with the movie, but a new song would be really nice.

I think it's just a rumor right now, though. I know there's a site where you can nominate artists to be used and people vote on them; Ev and Hana are both on there. So that's awesome.

I totally agree with you. I have been Twilight Fan for years, and now everybody else also knows and loves it. I hate this. It's like I'm talking to someone and say "My favourite character is Jasper" and the person answers: "Jasper... the one with the blonde hair, isn't it?" Of course he has blonde hair!!! Why don't you know this? These are real persons!
I hate that everybody else is getting obsessed with it NOW, too. They should have read the books years ago!!!

Okay, enough about Twilight. I think it would be kind of... weird when they would use my immortal on the new moon soundtrack. It'd be better if they made a new song.

Oh, and sorry for my horrible English. I'm from Germany.

What's the source on this? It is in Stephanie Meyer's playlist for New Moon on her website, but I get the impression that that's just a suggested playlist of songs to listen to while you're reading the book - no guarantees it will be on the New Moon ST.

it's a beautiful song, but it's been overplayed so much that its like, sickeningly cliched sweetness now

MI on New Moon? Eh eh.......over played I say. I like Evanescence (before the CD that shall not be named came out), but to me that song has been used over and over and over and over and, well you get the point on sad/heart ripping parts.

I like that fact that their using Evanescence music in the movie, but I feel they could of at least picked a song that has never been used before. *cough Imaginary, Taking over me, My last breath, Hello cough*

I think they'll choose MI (if they choose any Ev song) primarily because of the title - vampires being Immortal and all... it's a perfect fit..

Just curious - I haven't heard MI in many films or TV shows and the few I have heard used the album version rather than the Band Version. Does anyone know how many times the Band Version has been used? That's the version I want to hear in future films, and I never get tired of it.

Not trying to insult anyone here but what the HELL is the appeal of Twilight? Why do so many people like it? I tried reading it and was like, "Um, no" besides I'm not into vampires in the first place cause I don't think they are COOL or SEXY (Except Jeri Ryan as a vampire in that horrible movie Dracula 2000) But that's the ONLY time a vampire has turned me on (Too bad she had like a 5 minute role) anyway, why are vampires cool and sexy? Why do people think these books are good? I don't get it.
