ok seriously people it got popular get over it, all the whole i liked it but then everybody else did so i stopped liking it or it annoys me crap, are you kidding me its just as pathetic as jumping on the twilight bandwagon becuase everyone thinks its now the it thing to like. if you like it then so be it, its try hardish to stop liking it because it is now in.


i am hoping MI is not on the soundtrack it was never a favourite of mine before it got overplayed and inescapable. i like that the soundtrack for twilight was slightly varied yes there was the big artists but also some lesser known and it was a good mix of music.

^I have my questions about the validity of this as well. I don't see them choosing anything concrete for the soundtrack quite yet.

Which is exactly how Amy feels about the song. I vividly remember her bitching about it (and not the first - or last - time she had done so) right before she had to sing it at my last Ev concert. Since Amy has the reins in what Ev does, I really don't see her allowing them to use a song that she doesn't even enjoy anymore.

Speaking of soundtracks, I believe it's usually labels who decide what songs of their artists to be used in soundtracks. Or, perhaps, they don't even choose the song (in case if it's not a part of a promo campaign) but just give their permission to use it. I highly doubt Amy is in the know of every movie Ev songs are put into at all.

I completely agree with everything you just said. I still love to hear the song, but it is now not one of my favorites. A new song would be better, but I don't see that happeneing any time soon, unless they take something from The Open Door. And I still classify those songs old.

i don't want Evanescence on the soundtrack, there i said it, no real logical reason behind not wanting it there either then i don't want an old song and i can't see there being a new song created anytime in the foreseeable future. if there was anything Evanescene on it it would a Amy Lee solo creation becuase she basically is the present Evanescence now.

I really don't believe that they would use an old song off fallen for a new movie soundtrack. It just doesn't make sense and I think it is nothing more than a fan forum rumor, especially since a valid source hasn't been provided.

I think that's actually why people think it's going to be used. After all, MI was undeniably successful. Maybe people saw the list and thought that it was a list of songs that are definitely going to be on the soundtrack. Although, it is a very long list so that's really, really unlikely.
Besides, MI was already used in one movie, and it was a successful one so, should the rumor be true, the fact that MI was used twice won't go unnoticed.

Stephanie Meyer posts a personal playlist for each book in the Twilight series, and on her playlist, she lists Going Under and My Immortal as songs she feels goes along with the storyline. With the first movie, they used a few of her suggestions for the soundtrack, but not all. So that's probably where the rumor comes from, but I doubt they'd actually use Ev.

ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!!! That would be AWESOME!!!! ANY type of Evanescence recognition in a movie with such a high standard as New Moon would be just amazing....even if the Twilight series is being taken over by wannabe 'fans'.....


Well, if memory serves me correctly I think there was an older Radiohead song on the Twilight soundtrack among other things? So songs don't need to be new to be on a new movie soundtrack...

I think it would be great to have any Evanescence song on the soundtrack...if it happens I'll be pleased and it will make me look forward to New Moon even more They're well suited be it an old song or not!
