It's reported that the song My Immortal by Evanescence will be on the soundtrack of New Moon. What do you guys think about this? =)

It's an old song, on a new film. The very least they could do is compose a song specifically for the flim.

I think that's great! A good way to promote Ev. In my opinion, Ev should've been on the first soundtrack.

I do think it's more of Stephenie Meyer's favorites than the songs that actually match, but oh well. Ev is awesome.

Well, Ev and Twilight are both my halfway-guilty pleasures, so I'm happy-ish with it.

But the song choice... please. MI is so.. ugh. I actually almost hate it. xD

Above all, I could give a fuck less what Amy does with her time as far as taking a minute to compose a new track for a truly deserving purpose. We all know she's not smart enough for that. After Narnia, I don't believe she'll ever try that again, even though the Twilight Saga, in my (and probably everyone else's) opinion, is much more suited to her genre of music.

New Moon is going to kick ass (though just like Twilight, not NEARLY as much as the book) with or without Amy Lee's music. And I do say Amy Lee because, as we know by now, the band has pretty much dissolved to just her and the guys' replacements (who, by the way, I'm convinced have zero input no matter WHAT she tells everyone).

That's great! Ok, I couldn't watch the 1st movie yet, but it will be in german cinemas soon. And then (but I'm sure now) I could know if the song is in line with New Moon. But I'm really sure! I think it will be good promotion for Ev, and maybe Stephenie Meyer chose the song by herself?! If she did, it's a good sign I think.

I'm excited for the movie, and that song. . . But!
I'm learning it on piano now, it's one of my favorite songs, and, as always, I'm afraid people are gonna become obsessed with her. Just like with Twilight. I read it like, two years before it become SO popular, and I'm, you know, a true Evanescence fan, and I don't want that happening. It bothers me a lot more than it should. . . I guess. . .Nevermind.

I don't know if I'll really be looking forward to this.. I liked Twilight before, because I read it before too many people got obsessed with it and it became a fad. Then everyone went all fan girl crazy and it made me kindof sick of it. Because now, instead of being a really good book, its turned into a teeny-bopper franchise not cool... not cool.
I went and saw the movie anyways, but overall was not very impressed by it. The guy playing Edward wasn't all that great an actor, and he made Edward seem really awkward and well.. weird. Also, the script moved WAY fast, and there didn't seem to be much love between Edward and Bella, at least, anything convincible. AND, worst of all, there was hardly any Jacob :'(
So I'm not really looking forward to New Moon anyways, except that there'll be more Jacob...
And Yes, I agree, they should at least have a NEW song for this movie, I think it's already too overused. But it fits I guess, so w/e.
Sorry if I'm just a total downer about Twilight.
