I am overtaken...
by such a ray of sunlight
so fierce,
I give in and close my eyes.

I shut them quickly,
close them tight

to only feel my heart break open
to this warmth
pouring itself in, relentless,
filling every part of me.

Shut off to everything around,
I am perceptive
to your soul only,
and playing out my favorite dream
while slowly teased
by this slight smile
that's formed upon my lips.

So close to you...
except, I'm much too far.

Too far,
and too close to a perfection...
no wasted moments,
building upon a happiness,
of two souls together -
and perfect.

So close,
but not close enough.

I reach,
outside the shelter of my eyelids,
but it all remains

just beyond my grasp.

When my eyes fall
open,
that perfect dream
that tastes so much of reality
........except, can never be...

.......will
...........fall
..............away.

Still reaching,
I again understand
that it's just barely
too far away,
when everything else
is almost right.

Arms outstretched
to complete,
only to fall short instead

with the final puzzle piece
forever staying
just outside my reach.

Ashes falling softly
At your feet
My heart left burning
Surrounded by softly
Simmering
Smouldering
Embers

Embers of what
Could have been
The ending of our world
Can you feel it?
Falling softly

Autumn leaves
Like an eagle glide
Spiralling down
Carrying my hopes
Cradling
Hunting
Gone

Gone is what
Could have started
The ending of our existence
Breaking apart
Falling with force

This humble heartbeat
Longs to join yours
A steady rhythm
Not one
But two
I will not let you drown me out
Smother me
Murder me

End my world
I will always fall at your feet
Ashes of me
I long to join you
Die for you
I cannot break this fixation
Fall for you
I am fading like the autumn leaves
Left bare
Ending of my world
Existence is closing in on me

My heart will beat for you
You cannot drown me out
Murder me
I still fall for you

Grass, so soft underfoot

Birds chirping high atop the tree

Leaves sway gently in the breeze

Peaceful, calming

Soothing

Laying back, looking at the sky

Clear as day, fluffy white clouds

Soft as cotton, warm

Changing shape before my eyes

Tricking water, the sound is soft

Runs gently down the rocks

Glistening wet with moisture

Shining in the sun

Rainbows dance in the gentle stream

Every color you can imagine

One of natures greatest creations

Waterfall

So I tried to picture myself actually being near one and what it would sound and feel like... this is the result of less than a minutes thinking...lol.

Anticipation is uncomfortable
Crammed beside all of these bodies
All heading for the same fate

Travelling down this stream of life
Everyone so focused on the journey,
but I can only focus on the end

What will my Fate be
Will I breed angel wings out of my heart
and be carried into Heaven...
Or will I give birth only to an anvil
and plummet myself into Darkness...

When I reach the Waterfall

I take my little boat away from the dock
Onto calm, placid waters.
She is sound, she is true.
She has carried me through storms and through calm.

I look across the waters at the one place we’ve dared not go;
Where the waters run fast and treacherous
Threatening to sweep me away should I venture too close.
I glare across the waters at this tempest.

“I will conquer you”, I say to myself.
You will not keep me here.
The whole world lies beyond you
And you will not keep me here.

I have turned my little boat toward you
A hundred times;
Daring to come closer and closer
Before turning back to safety.

Today I will challenge you.
Today I will come for you.
Today I will defeat you.
Today your hold on my world will be broken.

Without hesitation, I point my little boat in that forbidden direction
Sailing straight into danger.
I am coming for you, I say.
This time I will make it.

I could stay on these placid waters forever;
I don’t have to do this, I tell myself.
But I have sailed these waters a thousand times
I yearn to see what lies beyond.

I approach the edge.
I hear your roar.
My course remains true.
I reach the edge.

Time stops as I cross the threshold.
A furious roar surrounds me.
Water sprays angrily around.
I fall.

My little boat is sound. She is good.
I trust in her to bring me through.
I feel the impact as I crash down.
Time begins anew.

Today I pushed away from the dock and sailed right over the waterfall.
My little boat has borne me safely across.
The world spreads out before me.
I am free.

Unkissed lips tinted blue
It seems I have floated
To far along this lonely life
To take control
I let the current have me
My pliant body
Folds and bends with each ripple
She challenges me
To fight her oppression
To win my liberty

I have been carried for to long
Memories of this life still elude
My striving grasp
My cares I can feel falling away
As I am floating here
I am paralysed
Unable to move make this life my own
I am frozen by time
Pulled by the current that is echoed
Inside my barely beating heart

I am being carried away by memories
I cannot seem to find
Of warmer waters
Where the current could not carry me
Along a river I did not choose
The fear of drowning floods my senses
I can fight this fear
I hear the rush of adrenaline
That forces me to flounder

The current races and pulls me along
I try to fight
My body too long pliant
Still folds and bends
I am carried over the edge
All realisation of unfounded fears
Drowns my awareness
I wish it would end
The downward rush leaves me breathless
I cannot fight

The peace of calmer waters
Shocks my broken body
The fall has left me shattered
I try to move my pliant body
I am in warmer waters
I think I might have found control

A world of darkness...
nothing left to see.
A mind so lost, a world
of shattered dreams.
Feeling so numb, nothing
meaning a thing anymore.
A damaged heart and soul,
not being able to handle
anymore.
Feeling evil attacking me,
uncontrolable.

Opening old wounds
that just won't seem to heal.
I need to find a way to excape,
from this kind of place.
It feels like all a horrific dream.

As I open my eyes, ever so slowly
I see this beautiful ray of light before me.
Hearing the sound of water falling.
It brings an instint excitement inside me.
I now feel so at peace.

Watching this, is the most amazing thing.
No more worries that lies benieth.
The sun light breaking through the trees,
and reflects off the water, makes me feel all at ease.
Now I can be released from what I felt inside.
I now feel so free, I never knew just how beautiful
a place can be.

Waterdrops,
they're running down outside my window,
intersecting,
reflecting against my thoughts.

I will only watch,
as floods form inside my head.
Try so hard to breathe,
but just listen to a
fading heart
instead.

Smile,
it silently assaults my face
as the rushing tides
fall into torrents
of emotion in its wake.

Breathe for me -
let me flow
throughout your thoughts.
I won't try to swim away,
succumbing
to the waterfalls.
