God, I love my GC. And guess what? I'm not a 10 year-old! Eternal Darkness nearly made me crap my pants, Resident Evil Zero is fucking awesome, as is the remake of the first one, and Metroid Prime rocks my world. I still haven't beaten the thing after having it for several months. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance was also really cool, and the Skies of Arcadia port is SUPER, too. None of those are "kiddie" games. Sorry to disappoint you.

Oh, and Vivi is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat! I lurve him. And Quina. Quina makes me giggle. Eh, so what if Freya's a bit rat-like? She's a damn good character.

I lent my Metroid Prime out to someone for a while. I got it back and the bottom was all fucked up. It looked like someone bit into it. It doesn't play anymore either. Made me pissed because that was such a fucking cool game. Controls took a little to get used to though, but i liked them after i did. I found every item in the game except for all the rocket packs. There are different endings on this game dependent on the amount of stuff you collect, rather than the based on time endings on Super Metroid. MP has a great story and took me about 20-25 hours to beat.

Whoa, six whole games! :shock: You're right, GC is so not a kiddie system. *cough, cough* Eh. I've always thought all the "mature" games for the GC were lame, but oh well. Being a primarily kiddie system isn't really a bad thing. With all the darkiness of most of the games I play lately, I kind of miss the happy Mario days. Been ages since I've played a platformer.

And yeah, this thread's gone way off topic. o_O Umm... yeah! Vivi's awesome. ^_^ He'd be my favorite Final Fantasy charactor, just below Lulu. Black mages are spiffy.

FF7, Cid was pretty cool (if I recall correctly).

Auron was pretty damn cool. Edea (possessed people, oh yea), and Vivi.

Yeah, I have to go with FFVII's Cid, oh, and FFIX's, because... come on, the guy was an oglop, then a frog- all because he cheated on his wife.

As for best characters? Hrmmmmm... Vivi is my favorite because not only is he SUPERCUTE, I really felt bad for him and got teary when he was sad. *Sniffle sniffle* Poor little guy!
I also think Edea was the shizznit when she was evil, but pleh when she got back to normal again.
Quistis has my vote for best facial expression, in the scene where she comes through the doors to get Squall out of the infirmary, her eye-rolling is priceless.
Squall is awesome, I don't care if people say "oh, he's a cold, whiny bastard!" because they obviously have not played through the whole game. I mean, he carried Rinoa all over the place to save her! How sweet and non-cold is that?
Yeah. And I like Terra in VI, but I don't know why. She's just kinda cool.

I agree on FF7's Cid being the best. He was the first Cid I knew. All the others are lame compared. They're old farts! ...was there a Cid in FFX? *doesn't remember*

And like I said up there, I like Lulu the best. She's so cool, and strong and independant... and has perhaps the coolest custome I've ever seen in a video game. *_* I'm jealous of her Mog.

And Quistis was the shitz. She rocked. When she was operating the machine gun....daayyyyuuummmmmmmm (it says damn for those who can't read my "getto") Lulu, was cool, good personality and stuff. But she carried a little too much baggage, if you know what I mean. Otherwise her belt skirt and hair rocked! Bwahaha.

Which Final Fantasy charachter(s) was the most annoying?

Annoying in any way. Whether it was how they looked, fought, etc.



-Selphie (I wanted to chop her scary hair off and teach her how to walk).

-Eiko and Zidane (I could stand Dagger at times, but Eiko and Zidane...yea, I want to break things when I saw them).

-Wakka (Yea, I wanted to chop his scary hair off too).

-and... Relm (Her charachter was a good idea, an artist and all, but she sucked in battle and was too young...I hate children).

I haven't played all of the FF games so I can't really judge on which one is the best Cid. In FF9 Cid was the king that got turned into a frog. In FFX Cid was Rikku's father, the guy that was leader of the Al-bhed (sp?).

My favorite character from a Final Fantasy game has to be Squall. He is the character that i could most relate to, and he kicked TONS of ass.
