funny...i saw the crystal chronicles game today and thought about buying it..of course, i'd have to buy a damn gamecube as well...so in the end i decided not to blah. nearly bought final fantasy tactics a few days ago too...i just don't have the time exactly to play the game. other stuff to do as well. i think it's just my bad experiences with FFVIII that's keepin me from playin/buyin other games..blah |

Oh if you haven't given FF a chance since VIII you should go out and get FFX and FFX-2 those are both really great games!!! I try not to play them too often though b/c when I do I seem to lose all sense of time and responsibility and just glue myself to the tv in a trance for hours upon end.hehehe

gar, I always pick them up and never finish them.
Final Fantasy 7 was my favorite. That was the one I couldn't put down, and the only one I've actually beaten. 6 is my next fav (that's 3 for those that go by American numbers) then 9... 4 and 8 were my least favorites. 8 was too much of a love story, too much like...school. And two damn complicated battle system...but it did have my fav side game (Triple Triad.) 4 was friggin depressing. 6 had my fav battle system, learning magic from the Espers. I still haven't played 5, X (or X-2), or 11. Chrono Cross & FF7 are my two fav RPGs. |

i almost got ffx, but instead, got kingdom hearts oO and didn't play it...two days later after buying it. i spent probably 8 hours total playing it..or whatever the game timer says Oo
anyways, i'm thinking of getting a gamecube and getting Animal Crossing. i'm done with most of my debt (aside from $1,300 somethin for college last semester..damn), and only got $140 at the moment, but yea...thinkin about Animal Crossing, and maybe Crystal Chronicles. The game looks cool! plus the name and all sounds cool..i saw the game at Best Buy yesterday and it looked alright (aside from the $50 price tag...)since there's no good playstation 2 games coming out anytime soon, i guess i might as well get a gamecube for crystal chronicles and animal crossin...don't know oO |

My boyfriend has got me started on the FF games.. starting with FF7. I haven't got far (almost completed the prologue, 3hrs worth of play) but considering beforehand my view of Final Fantasy was "it's just loads of pointless random battles and lame plotlines" I am slowly being convinced...
The film was quite lame, though. |

I heard that Animal Crossing has lots of old nintendo games in there and I was thinking of getting it just for that. What are all the games on there?
@Lecari: If you want a game with good cinematics, then play Final Fantasy 8. Its much better than 7 in my opinion, and the graphics are much cooler. |

Well, I'm liking FF7, so if FF8 is better then I'll definitely play it after (I'm one of those people who has to complete one game before going onto another, lol), especially since most people I've asked have said 8 was better.
And I must admit, that the graphics on FF7 really are awful.. so many times I've gotten stuck because I couldn't figure out where everything led, the graphics just weren't good enough, and I ended up finding them just through trial and error. ![]() |

I still say that of the playstation bunch, Final Fantasy 9 is the best...well, 7 and 9 are interchangable.
![]() The graphics in 7 werent the best, but square hadnt been doing a whole lot of 3-d work until then. Still the storyline and charcters were great, so it more than made up for it, plus at the time, the Knights of the Round Summon was one of the coolest things I'd seen. As far as 8 goes, I really did like it...though at times, Squall was to much of a bitch who needed to be slapped. Plus the whole time compression thing felt a little bit tacked on. The ending was great though. If you look around on you shuld be able to find a music video of 'My Immortal set to footage from the Bahamut and Alexander battle from FF9. |
