What did you think about that FF movie? Whoever came up with the idea must have been on drugs (my opinion). It was so different from the games. I don't know why they even called it Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within......very weird.
It was ok, i guess. VERY sci-fi. But it was an interesting turn. Im glad they didnt just take a game and paste it onto a movie screen, though. So it was original and kept some game elements. So it was alright, i guess. Dont hate it or love it

I wouldn't be so hard on the X-2 FF it was square trying out new stuff and it was put together in an interesting way. Lots to do which is what a final fantasy game needs (though it did take out proper Blitzball...which i loved). As for the older FFs being better I'm agree with 6 being a contender against 7 and up but i'm not sure about the others they were foundations laid for better things.

Well, so now everyone knows that Square cant:
-Make a fighting game. (The Bouncer)
-Make a sequel. (FFX-2)
-Make a movie pleasing to the majority of FF fans (FF The Spirits Within)

Haha. Well, Square's such a conglomerate that they have room for mistakes anyway. So not like its bad. At least we know the areas they arent so good in.

1- bouncer had tons of potential, just lacked destrucable enviroments and weapons, the fight system was okay as me and my mates have vs games for ages its a good laugh.

2- The sequel was not what people expected or wanted, people wanted a FF7 or 8 sequel. X-2 was not as good as any of the games I've played but it was in no way a bad game with all the stuff to find and the dressphere system. Plus it opened my eyes to the world of Japanese music, it was the thing that gave me a kick in the right direction.

3- The film was not as bad as people make it out, the critics bashed it but then again they bash anything that is not a war drama. People did not like it cos they couldnt understand it, but those who understand the story enjoyed an amazing CG movie experience.

After all it is all down to opinion.

I dont have a problem with the movie- its just most people expected them to paste some more like FF7 or FF8- the 2 most overrated fanatic-crazed games of the series. And they didnt. Therefore- the movie didnt really please the majority of the FF series fans. Itd probably appeal even more to those who are into sci-fi and arent into the FF series.

FFX is my absolute favorite game of all time. Personally I really liked X-2 as well. Just beat FFX for like the third or fourth time, and I started a new game on X-2.

Me and my friend were watching some trailers for FFXII the other day. It looks sweet beyond belief. I'm not sure when it comes out here...I don't even know if it's out in Japan yet. But I can't wait.

You beat it for the third or fourth time? And here I am struggling on my first attempt. Have you managed to get the celestial weapons and anima? My brother didn't but I would like to or it wouldn't really feel finished.

I got all the aeons and Yuna and Tidus's legendary weapons. Some of them are IMPOSSIBLE. (Well, the weapons aren't usually hard to get, but it's yhe powerups that are tricky.) Do you have the strategy guide? I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without that If not, PM me and I'll tell you how to get Anima, Yojimbo, and the Magus Sisters.

I used to have that piggybank guide or something, somebody borrowed it, still have to get it back. If you have Yojimbo when you fight the last boss, you might just get luck and slice him off in 1 turn, it happened to my friend. hmmm all this talk about ff, makes me wanna play again

Um. I killed the last bosses- all of them- in 1 or 2 hits.

FFX is the easiest. Seriously.

Magus Sister Mindy = 15,000+ damage for 15 hits in one command.
Anima doesnt even come close- besides a chance for instant death. I was super disappointed with the final boss. It was kinda sad.
