Buah. I played FF6 as FFIII, way back on the Super Nes.
I played it right after I played FFII (IV). I was like... 11. It was awesome. Loved every minute of it. FFVII was classic. There's something to be said about a story that people are still debating about. FFVIII has the best romantic theme of any fantasy game to date. It was at that blissful period when graphics were decent and they didn't sacrifice quality storyline for gross sales. Shame. I have a soft spot for IX. I didn't really think that any of the themes were that strong, which is a shame for an FF title. But it reminded me too much of my childhood not to like. I'm glad Squenix (ergh.) is starting to dig back into Square's roots (Advent Children). FFX was cute, but the story sucked ass. You found out within half an hour who the villain was, and guess what! You beat it and save the world. I was waiting for some great plot twist. Nope. Yuna had a great character for a book, but it didn't come out as well on screen. Tidus had good character, and EVENTUALLY you became mildly empathic towards him, but it was lacking as far as main characters go. And Advent Children is gonna kick ass 12 different ways. Hah. I love being opinionated. ~nd

".Ive never really heard any reason to really look forward to Advent Children and why itll be awesome. Graphics look good. Story sounds...interesting- at least it really does connect to FF7 and isnt some random side story like I thought itd be. But i dont find it necessarily amazing or original. ANd Square cant meet deadlines to save its ass. Just thought id say that.

So, why again- is Advent Children going to be awesome? Still never got a reason.
So far, i have heard: "OMG cloud and seph look sooo cool in it and _____ is so hot" and "ff7 is the best!!" I dont find the storyline particularly original, either.
