I wasn't really into the whole Zanarkand dream thing. And Tidus kind of annoyed me.
I loved the Yuna character story though. She is one of my favourite FF characters. I started playing IV again and I forgot how awesome it is I've also been having the urge to play IX lately. And I can't wait for AC ![]() |

Cloud and Sephiroth do look sooo cool in it. As far as eye-candy is concerned, Nomura has completely blown away...well...everything and everyone who's ever taken a crack at CG animation. It's also the continuation of one of the most debated plotlines in gaming history. Before they made the first AC release back in 2001, no one even knew whether mankind survived Holy or was destroyed for being deemed a threat to the planet. It reeks of epic battles to watch on repeat and sob scenes to watch alone when I need to feel sad and english subtitles to read because the dubs will suck ass and new orchestrations to lie in bed and listen to because the imagination isn't potent enough to generate background music for the scenes that I can't help but think up. That's why. Anticipation of Advent Children stems from the love of its predecessor. If you didn't like VII, don't sweat it; You won't like Advent Children. In the meantime, I'll be preordering my copy like the ecstatic fan that I still am, even after 3 full years of broken promises. It's gonna be awesome.

The American release for Advent Children has been pushed back HELLA FAR! The hell?? And I guess the fighting system for XII is supposed to emulate something like an MMORPG, where... if you can see it, then you can attack it. Or it can attack you. ...or...something. [/randomness]

I don't know if I'm going to like that.
I know that random battles can be a massive pain in the ass, but what about when it comes to levelling up? I don't wanna spend hours running around just trying to find stuff to kill. |

I think the battle 'system' will be Final Fantasy-ish, but I think they're just doing away with random battles altogether. I guess you run up to something that doesn't like you, and a battle starts. Or...something...like that. I want that demo.

Wow. An FF thread? DAMN NICE! I'm a die-hard FF fan, my personal favorites being the original FF (the one for nintendo... and the remake for PS1) and FF VIII. Since I haven't played X or any of the ones for PS2, I can't say much about them... T_T But, I've seen AC... and I gotta say... *DROOLS* Just what every FFVII fan wanted... to see Cloud and Sephiroth dish it out on a good ol' fashioned sword fight. I just wish Vincent had a bigger role.
I hope they make an FFVIII one, that'd be so cool...Ok, I'm rambling on. can anyone give me thoughts on the new FF's? I haven't played any of them, so any cirtiques would be nice... oh, and no spoilers please. ![]()
