Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus

The title is certainly catchy.

Main Character: Vincent (oh, HELL yes!)
Setting: 1 year after the events of Advent Children (okay...like that helps)
Plot: Group of bad guys appear that go by "The Dirge of Cerberus", naturally.
Game type: Action/Third-person Shooter (a little DMC?....we can hope)
Platform: PS2 (...duh)
Any other info: You know Square (-Enix), they're all hush-hush.

Whoo! Vincent. Shoot stuff, blow it up. Fun.

Square-Enix is planning on making an entire line of FFVII releases (Advent Children, Before Crisis, and now this), and are going to flush out the mysteries behind the world and plot lines of VII, which is a VERY fuckin' good awesome thing.

Some eye-candy:

Resonance is on a distinguished road
ohh pretty!
They must have realized that FFVII is actually the most popular one of the series.
Its the only one that I ever played through to the end and got fully emersed in.
I love it

I can't wait for that, Vincent was one of the best FF7 characters, now he gets his own game. The graphics look amazing

This is sounds waaay too much like Final Fantasy Advent Children movie.

No one is really interested in the plot and story as much as they are "OMG LIEK CLOUD IZ SOOO HOT" or "VINCENT iz S000 BAD@SS!!!"

Thats what i see everywhere. v.v' Ive never seen any really be interested in the movie/games themselves...

Its looks like X Men: Wolverine's Revenge, to me...

Ah, I love everything about VII (and VIII), it's just that in VII's case, talking about the story itself usually evolves into...

"Well what about the ending? That was like so vague... I think all the people died."

"No they didn't! You can't kill Cloud!"

"YES U CAN! SEPHY RULZ!"

"Whose the dude in the weelchair?"

"I R PWNZOR! YUFFIE IZ DEADZOR!"

"#*!($#@)#)!"

and it gets progressively worse from there.

But yeah, I'm all about the games, and completely psyched over the movie (and they better hurry their asses up with it... ), but you have to admit, the stories develop some awesome characters.
