If you go to one of their shows, their four song EP is available there. They haven't said anything about releasing it to any stores yet though.

Is that a new one? If not, I don't think they're still selling the Broken Wings EP. That was a while ago. However, if this is a new ep with the songs from their recent studio session, then that's awesome.

Hey Jason...

Not sure if you got plans for next friday (or how far Brenham is from MS). But, I'm coordinating a mini-evboard meetup in Starkville, MS for the Flyleaf, Earshot, Saliva concert. Here is a link to that thread. http://www.evboard.com/showthread.php?t=19404

If you can make it out, that'd be killer.

Yeah it is, its their first one off of Octone. It has Red Sam, Breathe Today, I'm Sorry, and Cassie.

IMO, it's a good CD, nothing of theirs isn't. But I like the original mixes of the songs, not this new, pop/rock producer crap. And according to a couple of the band memebers, they agree.

But it's still worth it. The songs automatically rock no matter how they are heard.

I also would like to see on the EP a sample of some of their other talent, like Broken Wings or So I Thought. If all you ever heard was the 4 songs that are on it, I don't think you'd have a clear idea of some of the music they write. I think it would help broaden the fanbase to include something of the sort.

Also, a link has been posted over at www.flyleaffans.com to where the EP will begin being sold other than just at shows. http://www.cmcdistribution.com/book9/music/flyleaf.htm

Thanks, Machinehead. I got that link, and they also have a forum where band members post, too. I am registered as of now.

Those who join... Be aware. They frown upon "bad language" and sexually-oriented subjects on their forum, as the community is mainly conservative Protestant Christians...

And if anyone happens to wonder, no, Flyleaf is not a "Christian Band", although they are religious people.
