Flyleaf last night in Milwaukee! Awesome! This was my first time seeing them live and I can assure you, it won't be the last! They sounded amazing, the guys had a lot of energy and man can Lacey scream. After Seether's set, they cam out at the merch table and signed autographs. I had my ep insert and the self-titled cd insert with me. Sameer was so nice (everyone was) asking my name and personalizing the autograph. Lacey was so impressed that I had both inserts. She asked when I had gotten them. "Well the full cd I got the day it came out and the EP, it's been so long I can't remember when I got it". She was so floored by my answer she was like "Can I give you a hug?" I said absolutely! She's so tiny and cute. Once everyone had gotten through the line for autographs, I went back and got my picture taken with the whole band. I can't wait to see how it turns out! (Stupid Rave policy not letting in cameras so I snuck a disposable!) Awesome night for sure!!!

How did you end up after the show Monica? Did ya get to give the band your pictures?

I'm glad you had a good time, Roxanne! I really can't wait to see them (7 days!!!), it'll be my first time too. They sound so nice. I hope I get the chance to meet them.

Flyleaf's All Around Me was tied for most added on Christian Rock with Kutless' Shut Me Out making it the second week out of three that it's been most added. Oddly enough though, their song while rising in airplay actually went down a spot to #19.

In addition, Flyleaf moves up to the #6 position in top Heatseekers.

Second addition to this is that I'm So Sick was a keeper on Fuse's Oven Fresh.

Not only did they provide the wrong song-title, they also put the old version of ''I'm So Sick'' up for streaming.

I hope I don't get slaughtered for this but I saw Flyleaf in Chicago the other day and I've gotta say I wasn't too impressed...

Musically, they sounded fine, and the band itself had a ton of energy, maybe TOO much (if that's possible) they all looked like they were having a ton of fun. But the lead singer (sorry guys, I don't even know her name) didn't move or dance at all....she was completely lacking energy...

I wasn't impressed, I've gotta say that of the 4 bands that played that night, they were the least entertaining, and I really don't know what all the hype is about...

p.s. I realize I'm a lurker and that means people don't give a rat's ass about my opinion, but I just had to put it out there...

It's more easier to sing when you're not jumping all the time. Lacey's voice is strong when she just stands. She isn't like Amy Lee who is moving all the time but Lacey's voice is more clear than Amy's cause she is not moving.
But if you didn't liked their performance but they love what they are doing so... It's just your problem. But I'm not slaughtering you even though you're a lurker, just saying that there is a diference singing standing or moving all the time.

Here's my two cents: I saw them Wednesday night in Milwaukee. Lacey, the lead singer, was moving all around and sounded fine. Now, I know that she was getting over a bout of bronchitis, and perhaps she jusn't wasn't feeling well that night. But I assure you, she was moving two nights ago. Not every performance is the same, unfortunately, so you really need to see a band a couple of times before you can truly judge them. Everyone has an off night once in a while.

Just a quick note...I was in FYE earlier today and up at the register was this little sign about Flyleaf, mentioning that "I'm So Sick" was the first single. I was excited.

ROXANNE! i'm so glad i got to hang out with you and yeah, i got to give the band the pictures my friend took of them at Edgerton from the Halloween bash. They loved them, and I got one of the photos of me with the band signed. Lacey was like, "hey! i'm wearing those same pants!" and Sameer was like, "oh man, i look like an asshole, i'm not even smiling." and my boyfriend told him he had the whole GQ look going on...and Lacey was like, "yeah...Sameer, you're like, oooh i get to stand between 2 beautiful ladies!" it was such a fun night. Seether rocked as usual, and Flyleaf was amazing again. They are so down to earth...i'll post what few pics i took eventually
