Flyleaf kick ass live. I saw them on Snocore on March 3. Here's my little review of their set-
My God...so incredible. They had so much energy on stage. They played (not in this order)- Red Sam, Breathe Today, Fully Alive, I'm Sorry, I'm So Sick, So I Thought, and Cassie. During So I Thought Pat (bass) did the coolest jump I've ever seen. He climbed onto a speaker that was about 8 feet up and spun and jumped off. Flyleaf is so amazing live. Lacey is about my size and she can scream louder than most guys (I think she out screamed Shaun when they performed Burrito together). At the end of So I Thought, Seether started spraying sill string on Flyleaf. Then, after So I Thought was Cassie. (For those of you who don't know- Cassie is like the most serious song in the world. It's about one of the girls who was killed at Columbine and talks about how she said yes when asked if she believed in God and was shot for it). The song starts off with "I will say yes". Lacey started the "I will" but started cracking up from the Seether guys. She was laughing throughout the whole song, while they were sprayed with silly string and the Seether guys took apart the drum set, piece by piece. They only got through about 3/4 of the song when Lacey started cracking up and they ended the song. |

My friend made my day.
Last week I gave her the sampler just for fun. Today she came sitting next to me with a rush, she said so fast "I listened the whole weekend that Flyleaf sampler. Erica!! I need to buy the album and I want a shirt!" I told her the store where she can buy it and said that I'm planning to order t-shirt by other recordstore so it would be easy. Yeah, one hooked and many people to go.

I have recently come across Flyleaf...and have been enjoying the music. I was also very happy to find out that they are playing in my area on Friday April 14. I got the tickets last week and we (my hubby, brother, and I) are all looking forward to checking them out live.

Just got this and I like it but the cd is entirely too short. Something like 33 minutes. I hope this is because they are new and it's not a trend.
But lyrically and musically I like it. Lacey voice is so interesting as well. It add an certain depth to the sound. I'll keep an eye out for them. |
