Well I saw them April 14, 2006 at Saratoga Winners in Latham. I will admit to not going to a ton of small venue events like this was but it was $8 a ticket and I couldn't pass it up. My brother, hubby, and I went there and stood through 3 other bands and my feet were killing me but I was so excited that Flyleaf was next.

A song or two into their set (eventhough I thought I was in a safeish place off to the side) crowd surfing began and before I knew it this large guy fell right on top of me. Crushing me into a bowing position with most of his weight landing on the back of my head, neck and upper shoulders. I was in so much pain and my hubby pulled the guy off of me and I pushed through the crowd and rain out to my car before I collapsed. My head was killing me and I was crying hysterically. My brother and hubby were running after me and we had to leave.

I was crushed to have to be hurt and missed the band I had waited all night for. Plus it was a few weeks before I could listen to the album again because hearing it brought back painful and sad memories.

But I have decided "to believe in futures"

and I am hoping that if they come to SPAC then I can have a seat and enjoy it injury free. All these weeks later I am still having pain and going to physical therapy to help my neck heal properly. They have helped alot....I hope to be feeling myself and healthy again soon!!

Oh, wow. I'm so sorry you got hurt!

I was at that show, too. I hate crowd surfing. Sometimes they don't allow it at Winners and I was hoping it was going to be the case for that show but nope, it got crazy.

I hope you feel/get better soon and hopefully you'll have a much better time seeing them at another show.

Flyleaf's I'm So Sick is approaching 1,000,000 plays on Myspace.

Taking out the screaming from a song is not that uncommon. At least from my perspective.

There are basically at least two versions of the song. I've seen the non-scream version on Fuse and it really didn't affect the video's performance because it was still an Oven Fresh Keeper. Now that it's on MTV, even IF they don't show as many videos as they used to, that's a big boost for this band that some of us remember in its infancy.

In Finland if someone is trying to surf the staff through him/her out. Safe to see gigs. Last summer my friend almost get a hit on her head when one drunk tried to surf (luckily one sweet guy saved her).

I got one person to listen Flyleaf (U2 freak) when I told her that Flyleaf has covered her favo song.

I am continuing to heal and the physical therapy people have helped soo much! I am having much less pain and headaches so that is awesome!

I tell myself that the people who surfed to the front got thrown out...if only to satisfy my sick need for vengance for this guy who stole these past few weeks from me!! Whether it really happened or not I am not sure..

Just waiting to hear about dates for the Family Values Tour now!! Keeping fingers crossed!!
