You know? ... the song "Cassie" is bull?
The fact that it's about Columbine is true... but it's like Flyleaf just wanted to put a religious twist on it to make money on it. There was no girl named Cassie. It's not even a reported fact that the two gunmen asked anyone before they shot them, "Do you believe in god?". The song's GOOD yeah... it's just plain bull. Kinda funny. I really like Flyleaf though and i'm excited to listen to their next album. =D Quoting on those screaming... things that you guys have talked about... I've screamed like her, it's not that hard. Just not good for the vocal cords. Obviously. And singing like her... very easy, too. Her vocal ranges are... crazy but REALLY fun. Can anyone HONESTLY sing like her, too? Just wondering. |

Actually there was a girl named Cassie Bernall who was shot and killed at the Columbine High school shooting. She was in the library when it happened and people who lived through the ordeal said they did hear the shooters asking people if they belived in god they are just debating if they actually asked Cassie before she died because some people thought it was her who said it but they werent entirely sure about that.
Also there was another girl named Rachel Scott who they are sure they asked her if she belived in God and then they shot her. In a different version of Cassie, Flyleaf also put Rachel in there too Here if you want to listen to this version click the link below:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwJIW-6bTt0&feature=related So yeah all in all the song Cassie is not bull and it wasn't made for Flyleaf to just make some money off of it. It was about actually people and Lacey wanted to share what they had done and to maybe have people see how much they loved and believed in God.

Ok, you're right. I totally forgot that. Uhg. Yes, there was a girl named Cassie Bernall BUT she was just a random girl they murdered in the library. And yeah, here's no proof that she was asked if she believed in god.
Yes, they asked Rachel Scott. That's a known fact. She was outside of the west entrance to the school. ........... But... that's stupid that they made a DIFFERENT version of the song. It still kinda makes it seem BS-ey but ok, whatever. Why's Cassie mentioned AT ALL then? If they're gonna go through the trouble of making ANOTHER VERSION of the song to mention Rachel's name, then why say "Cassie" at all? Stupid. Why... not... just... say Rachel in the beginning...? It's like they were trying to mix in Rachel's whole "death experience" with some random girl named Cassie Bernall in the library. KIIINDA BS-ey. |

Because when the whole thing first happened they realy DID think that Cassie was asked that because people in that room thought it was her. Now they are asking questions because people werent totaly sure it was her. And apparently Lacey from Flyleaf thought that Cassie was asked that so she made the song about Cassie. Then apparently when people werent totaly sure she changed the lyrics so at least one of them was sure to have been asked that. Because you cant really go back and change the name of the song now can you when it has the same beat just a different person in it.
