Well, I can give an update as far as them on the radio is concerned...
As far as Mediabase Monitored airplay is concerned, they're not getting play in North Carolina on any of the alt or active rock stations there. Good news for Flyleaf on Alternative stations: A nice week of gaining adds all over the country and it currently stands in the top 60, which means that if it continues to add steadily it should make new and active either this week or next week and chart (make the top 50) within the next 3 weeks. This past week, Oklahoma City's KHBZ-FM gave I'm So Sick its first airplay. It is currently tied for the #6 song on the station with System's latest "Hypnotize" with 31 spins on the playlist. On top of that, it's been gaining play far more than Audioslave's new one Out of Exile, which also started getting play on the station this week. Out of Exile sits at #15. Dallas and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre continues to research well. The Edge in Dallas has them at #7 while WBSX in SWB (the first major station to play them about 3 months ago) has them just out of the top 10 still. KQXR in Boise has played ISS 10 more times than it did last week. Other stations playing them include WJSE in Atlantic City, WHRL in Albany and KUCD in Honolulu (probably my favorite alt station in the country...I think they stalk this board :P) On Active Rock, it's not quite as impressive a week, but they're holding their own. By the end of the week, they will either move up 6 or 7 spots from the previous week depending on how much the #41 song Story of the Year's We Don't Care Anymore falls within the next day. Sirius Satellite's Octane Radio has played Flyleaf rather regularly. They're getting play in these areas as well: Madison, WI Bakersfield Biloxi Fresno Nashville Spokane Charleston, SC and Huntsville Seriously, be on the lookout for Flyleaf...they may start getting more play. I doubt that they'll get play on K-Rock NYC, but they do mention them since the last concert that K-Rock will promote while Howard Stern is still on the station is the Fall Brawl tour show at Roseland. |

I went to my first flyleaf show last night and holy shit it was fun.
They played first, and I was pretty much screaming at the top of my lungs the whole time. I was pretty close as well, I was on the first level and there was no seating. I wasent up front at the stage, but I was close enough to see them all really well. Anyways, I left the pavillion after they finished and ran around the back to the gate and saw the guys coming down the stairs. I called Sameer over and asked if they would be out to sign stuff and he said that after Staind plays they're all coming out to sign. After Staind played, I ran up to the merchandise table and saw Pat, Sameer, and Jared. Sameer was standing to the side of the table takling to a lot of people so I went ahead and talked to Pat and Jared for a little while and got them to sign my poster. I asked them if Lacey was coming out and right after I said that she came. She walked up to me and I introduced myself and gave her the drawing I did of her so she could sign it. Her face was like O_O which made me happy After her staring at it and us talking about it for around five minutes she signed it and signed my poster and my mom made me leave. So, I didnt get the poster signed by Sameer and James but 3/5 isnt bad. I'll attach a scan of what Lacey wrote on my drawing and of what everyone signed on my poster later when my scanner gets hooked up. All in all, I had a great day.![]() Last edited by Ali : 12-04-2005 at 03:22 PM. |

Flyleaf just keeps on surprising us with new things (regarding to the Holiday EP & Do You Hear What I Hear CD).
I've been on a binge lately. Physconails, have you checked online? I mean, you could order from the internet. ::shrugs::

Yea, I bet I could, but I've never actually ordered online....you'd think it would be in Canadian stores, especially so close to Toronto... but oh well. If I don't find it while Christmas shopping maybe I'll order it.

If you ever go into NYC, go to tower records and get it, they had both the EP and the album. Just go in with the one CD you want, find it and get out. Or else you will be in there for eternity. (until your mom calls you screaming at you to get back...)
Or you can ask a local shop to specail order it. Its usually a tad bit more expensive, but the absolute highest I've seen it priced is 8.98$ so it won't be that much more that CD's usually are. ![]()
