German bands

I wonder if you know any German bands. I heard that for example Rammstein and Tokio Hotel are pretty famous in the US. Do you like them? And do you know any others? ^^

Those are probably the only two that most Americans would know in general. I love Rammstein, not a huge fan of Tokio Hotel.

I'd recommend trying "Pflaster" by Ich + Ich. I actually don't love all of their songs, but a few are very good and that's my favorite by them. They're classified as pop I think.

For a more rock-metal kind of band, I really like Eisbrecher. I'd recommend the song "Antikörper" by them.

I am a little older than some of you guys, and I enjoyed the German power metal of the 1980s such as Helloween, Rough Silk, Rage, Pink Cream 69, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Angel Heart, Avalon and of course the most famous, Scorpions and Accept. (See how old school I am??) lol

There is this band Elis.. they play gothic metal, as far as I know. I only like a couple of songs of theirs but they're pretty rad. Plus, I haven't heard the new vocalist (the old one died of a stroke ).

There are also many metalcore/death metal German bands but most of them sing in English, like Caliban. But I'm not sure you're intrested in this genre.

Plus, isn't Lacrimosa from Germany?

I know for quite a lot german bands, but I listen only to rammstein. I adore them. <3

You should listen to Oomph!'s song "Brennende Liebe", it's featuring L'Âme Immortelle and it's pretty cool.
