Credited as the 3rd song ever written for Evanescence, Give Unto Me was written by Amy Lee. It was originally a piano instrumental released on the Whisper/Sound Asleep EP in 1998. Amy also played the piano in this song.

I think this probably has to be one of my favourite Ev songs. It just does something for me, something that some of the other songs don't, you know? I used to listen to it when I couldn't sleep because in a way I found the song strangely comforting. And then I had it in my head for a week solid, haha.

I love the eerie atmosphere to it. When I listen to it, I always end up thinking of the film "The Others" for some reason.

I think you heard the instrumental.. Im not 100 percent sure but im pretty sure.

you've forgotten to mention that this song is one of Evanescence's 1997-1998 Demo song. only the intramental version (2.01 minutes long) is on "Sound Asleep EP"

I love this song...It's my new favorite EV song... Beautiful Piano playing by Amy. She should have put it on Fallen or she should put it on the new album...
