Go Ask Alice [BOOK]

"The harrowing true story of a teenager's decent into the seductive world of drugs. A diary so honest you may think you know Alice- or somone like her. Read her diary. Enter her world. You'll never be able to forget Alice."

^That's the summary that's given on the back of the book. I just finished it a couple of weeks ago, and thought it was really interesting. Has anyone else read this? What did you think?

We had to read it for grade 8 english. it was one of those books that everyone actaully read and liked, not the usual "it's a school book so it must blow" type thoughts. I think it actaully shows a side of life that people can relate to - that's why it's so popular. there's a song about it too. White rabbit maybe?

I've been trying to get hold of this book for a while now. I wanted to borrow it from the library but they didn't have it, so I guess maybe I should buy it.

It is an interesting book. I know my sister and I read it in high school as well. And like everyone says, it's not one of those school books that blows.

I read it a few years ago. It's one of my favorite books. I like how it's an actual diary, not fiction.

I read this book back in the 8th grade. What I love about this book is that it comes from a teenager's prospective(sp?), and she's experiencing what many people go through in their life. I also like how it's written like a diary.

Hey, earlier today I was looking at this thread and remembered that I had seen this book in our library room but had never bothered to read it. I was yearning for a good book to read so I picked it up. I just finished it, it was really good. The first few entries I was just like "man this is a really shallow kid" but as I progressed through I found it really hard to believe that it actually happened, that the person was real, let alone this all happened within a year or two. Thanks for this thread or I might not have read it.

I had heard of the book and thought it may be intresting.... about a year ago, my mom found it really cheap at a local store... i read it and couldn't put it down the whole day.... i finished it in like 3 hours.... I have never heard a story such as this displayed so vividly and amazing and still hold the composure to be a teen read. It's wonderful

Its amazing and I recommend it to every teen and parents of teens. it's a great inside look. may not be the help that teens need... but it can give everyone an idea and insight and the courage to get the help that they need.

I love this book. I read in in year 10 and I was so into the book, and it's so amazing and terrifying what drugs can do to a teenager like Alice, and how it messed up her mind and life. I'll never forger Alice, that's for sure.
