IDK about anyone else, but when I come to this board I don't run and look to see if Amy posted. I think that it's kinda of obsessive. You can be a fan of the music, and a fan of Amy, yet not be obsessed with her. It's nice of her to come and give us updates, but I don't wet myself when she does.

The only way I know that Amy (or any band member) posted is because there is a new topic in the "Messages from Evanescence" forum. If it was left as a post in the old thread, I never would have even looked because I would assume everyone was still talking about the old thread, which was active and filled with "OMG AMES I LUV JOO!!!" posts.

Point: Dhamma moved it. The mods are responsible for organizing the board and he did that. End of discussion. He's not moving it back. And I don't think Amy cares either way.

Me either. I used to though. I admit I used to check Amy's profile a lot (almost daily) to see if she posted, but I guess I grew out of that. Now when she posts, I just read it and that's it. Anyway, she's just like you and me so why should we all go insane every time she posts? I appreciate her posting updates every so often, but I don't wet myself or pass out when she does either.

I think it's great that the mods moved her post. I'm sure half the people on this board wouldn't have seen it if it hadn't been moved, seeing as a lot of people don't read through entire threads.
Yes, the "OMG I LUV U AIMEE OMFG THNX 4 POSTING" posts get old, and I for one am glad Amy's post got separated from that huge thread.

Hi Amy, i am sure the album will be a big hit. I mean i never ever get tired of listening to your older stuff and Fallen is amazing alone. I know the second will be better, different but even more inspirational. I havent been on here for a long time but i know you'll all do well and i think your all amazing. I really cant wait till the new album as i have seen what it might look like on your site and i love it all ready. Grrreat

I think it's good you didn't do what everyone "expects" you to do. You went with the music and YOUR happy with it. In the end thats all that matters And yay for cupcakes..I prefer those over birthday cakes any day!!

the discussion about the new cd and cupcakes has inspired me to make some on the day it is released. not only will i be going to the nearest cd store and buying it, i am going to make some uper-gothic cupcakes and some uber-preppy happy cupcakes.

im thinking devil food cupcakes with chocolate icing and little decals that are like ghosts, spiders, tombstones w/e - halloween candy should be on sale by oct 3.
and the happy ones will be the yellow funfetti mix with like pink strawberry flavored icing and like a little hershey kiss on the top haha

so my roomie and i can eat them and get fat while listening to the new Ev cd

im so excited for the new album
it could be a piece of crap (i highly doubt that would ever happen)
but i would still support it 120%
its good that youre branching out into different sounds
because then we can see your range as a singer and songwriter
and you wont be stuck in one genre
in the meantime
i simply cannot wait for the new album just like the rest of these guys,
and i glad youre updating us
