WAITING

In the dark I'm waiting for you
My lover doused the fire
Cold and naked I long for touch
Once again my heart has reason to beat
A spark discloses the once-hidden path
Ghosts dance at my feat
Hades made a mockery of me
You're the blood flowing through me
I answer the beckonings
I am no longer lonely~



MISTAKE

I can't understand what you see in me
I'm not special
I'm not unique
I'm the girl next door who's just like every other
Your affection--I cannot evade, no matter how hard I try
Your kisses rain down on me like the storm you are
And if I resist, lightning dances in the sky
Maybe it's not 'me' that caught your fancy
Maybe there's something missing in you
Something that everyone but you has
And perhaps you found it in me
And mistook the discovery for love
I'm sorry
I cannot rescue you from your lonliness
I cannot fill your dead soul with life
I wish I could
But only higher can that be possible
But I promise you this
I will love you with all I have
Because you gave me yourself
Who could reject such a sacrifice?~

The world could die and fall to ruin
But I would still love you
I gave you all of me
Heart, body, and soul
We're bonded with blood
And bound to the other by something even stronger
And yet you have cast the most precious pearl before this swine
When she's gone, what will you have?
In your quest to fill the void, you have forgotten who loves you the most
My tears mean nothing to you
Neither do the achings of my lament
So my bitter solitude's cries fall silent to the night sky
I drank into you life
But our love is slowly dying
What shall the epitaph bear?~

LONELINESS KILLED ME TODAY
Month by month, day by day,
The emptiness starts to take away.
Little by little, bit by bit,
The abyss eats my soul into a bottomless pit.
All this time you never did see
Until one single tear sparkled in the moonlit sea.

"Free me from the bondage of my despair,
Break my heart, throw the shards to the air,
And when they land, crush the pieces 'neath your feet,
And feed the dust to the flames for the fire to eat."

With many thorns there is a rose
That pierces my heart with its many woes
And leaves me in the rain to bleed
With no regret of such a cold deed.

Rip open my bosom, sever a rib from me;
Deep inside there's nothing to see
Except a torn, tattered pulse dying
Because of a love that was lying.

Loneliness killed me today
And with my mind had its way,
Raping lacivously my sanity
And tempting me with its vanity.

I wish the wind would give a gust
And blow me away, scattered, like dust.
If only.

I'm going to a funeral today
Dressed in the colors of death's way
If only you knew what under the casket sleeps
And no longer on earth's surface creeps
If you saw, perhaps you'd dare
For once in your life to care
About a soul that was bound to you
That you used until you were through

I breathe and I breathed
I bleed and did bleed
Until the earth was stained crimson
But you didn't even see
Just what you did to me

The winds have carried me away
No longer with you shall I stay
But I still will always love you

And this realization makes me cry
