Well...I for one am happy that this board is 'back' again. Im super excited to get back to posting here. This is the first place where I ever posted and Im glad to be back. So thanks so much for buying Evboard and restoring it...

This indeed should be interesting. As Katya said, thee were a lot of things that made most of the community flee elsewhere (e.g. evthreads.com and, of course, the infamous Amy Lee disputes) but I know I'll deffinitely be posting again (once I can) and hopefully get back into the evboard groove.

I missed this place's shades of dull green and grey

And of course now the entry on the Evanescence Reference is going to have fun new stuff in it. http://evanescencereference.info/wik...le=EvBoard.com

To start off with, I'm more interested in the why instead of the how. No one shells out that much cash for a barely active board, even if it had been impressive in earlier days. Exactly what goal are looking to accomplished as far as evboard is concerned?

The purpose of this board is to make money for the host... hence all the ads.

It was bought by ForumFactory for the sole purpose of creating revenue through advertising. That's just what they do.

And $3500 is really not a lot of money. Not even remotely close to what the domain is really worth.

The network that owns EVboard is ForumFactory.com I did not buy the website, I simply work for them. I've had fairly good success getting sites going which is why they chose me for here. As far as I know there is no hidden agenda for this place. The reason they purchased the site was because its got potential. Simple as that. Our goal is to get people posting over here again and bring it to life (haha, I know corny pun).

The only for sure thing I know of is I am to make this place open to the public to post in (for the most part) and to get things organized and flowing again. When I know more I'll let you all know more
