Heroes [TV]
I saw a preview for this show after the Emmys were over. It's about some ordinary kids that discover they have weird powers, like knowing the future or flying or hearing the thoughts of others.
It starts Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls, and the reason I'm going to watch it), Hayden Panatierre (Remember the Titans, Raising Helen), and Ali Larter (Legally Blonde, Final Destination). "Biggest surprises: NBC's 'Heroes'.... turned out to be surprisingly strong..." - San Jose Mercury News "HEROES is a solid new show with limitless potential." - IGN "HEROES completely lived up to the hype...The pilot was entertaining, exciting and fully introduced us to what should be a fantastic mythology..." - TV Addict Series premiere is Sept. 25 at 9/8c. Anyone else interested in watching?

OMG! i just finished watching it (<3 DVR!!) and it was amazing. It's kinda like X-Men meets your next door neightbors but it's so cool. It has the whole good vs. evil thing going on but it's pretty good. I've been waiting for a while to watch this...saw the preview for it while watching the previews at the movies couple months back. The preview was gripping and I wasn't disappointed. Pretty good show.
8.5 - 9 out of 10. |

I've got it on TiVo (I was gone all night) and I'll probably watch it tomorrow. Glad to hear that it was good!

Yeah, it was surprisingly good. I read a review that gave it 4 stars and figured I would check it out.
I love the Japanese guy. He made me laugh. I want to know exactly what power Ali Larter has. Something weird with the mirror. *Did anyone else get blown away by the fact that the politician brother was the one flying?* I was just like "I did not see that coming" It looks like it is shaping up to be a great show. Especially with the scene the of destruction the clairvoyant guy painted. I just want to know if they are naturally like this, or if they are part of some experiment. This definitely has an X-files feel to it. |

I agree with everything TheLady said. That Japanese guy was so FREAKING hilarious. He was so cute. My dad thought he was Chinese. -.- I'm like Dad, the clock's in Japanese. But he doesn't know, 'cause then he was all You mean he's not Korean? Silly daddy. :P
I once had a friend that said he could tell Japanese people from the rest of Asians. He's like If they're hot, they're Japanese, if they aren't hot, they I don't know what the fuck they are and I don't care, lol. And WTF is that one lady's power?! That drove me MAD! The dude that started driving the cab was just weirding me out the way he was talking to Nathan's brother. (Why do I remember the OLDER brother's name??) Yeah and... weird about the brother flying too... were they both flying or was it just that the one flew up to save the younger one? I thought it was the latter, but as the scene went on I was flipping back and forth. Anyway v. cool show. Thought I'd check it out after I heard a huge radio promo (limited commercials - wahoo!) and the morning show I listen to plugged it. The commercial spot for it was all like Which TV show has the largest fan base and it hasn't even aired yet? I'm like, Seriously?! It was good. ^_______^

Here's a quick recap of the first episode, plus some personal opinions about it that I agree with.
