There isn't any movement like that. Colourwise I'd liken it to fauvism but in terms of technique, nothing specific comes off the top of my head. That's the main problem with it (well my main problem) the use of color doesn't marry well with technique and imagery.

I love how you think that you can critique artwork like that... jealous?

Nope. To be blunt and totally honest, from what we've seen* of Amy's work, I'd say I was the better artist.

If you like it thats great. But it isn't spectacular. It also needs to be put in a more appropriate frame.

*I could be wrong. She could have some amazing, mind blowing stuff stashed away she hasn't shared with the public for all I know.

That was slightly rude, don't you think? Perhaps she is in art school and knows more about it than the average person?

I like what I feel the painting is trying to convey, but at the same time, I don't like the color or the blocky way some of it is painted. I do like the tree. Then again, I can only draw stick figures, so I'm no critic.

I hardly consider myself an expert, not by a long shot. But I have been studying art for quite a few years now, so yeah, I like to think I have a vague idea of what I'm talking about. But setting that aside there's also that opinion that I'm entitled to.

Agreed, you are entitled to your own opinion. But I too have been studying art for a long while, and it is my personal opinion that no art is good and no art is bad because it is, simply... art.
