Hello my sweeties The Brussels sprout is there to annoy you again.

Ich habe a fhrage! (right or did a forget on accent on fhrage?) Ok I'm stupid there shouldn't even be an 'h' there.

All the German classes are going fine, I love the language but there's one thing I get confused on sometimes.

Der/die/das/ etc. When do you use which?

Das = This? Right?

Edit: EINE frage what's wrong with me tonight.

Thank you in advance!

That depends on the gender of the word:
der = masculine
die = feminine
das = neuter

for example: der Baum (the tree - masculine)
die Blume (the flower - feminine)
das Pferd (the horse - neuter)

"this" means "das" but also "dieses"

Btw, you're on my msn buddy list, so if you want to test your German - talk to me

It is quite annoying how to find out what gender each word is. It's something you just learn with time, I suppose. Thanks

LMAO my German is good that way that I understand it, but speaking it...ouch ouch

Oh I'm not sure you learn it with time 'cause there's no special rule to follow, like in french..but you get used to it when you learn the nouns with articles, I think

@nina jap wir sind nich die einzigen, zum glück..aber das debate forum is sowieso immer in perfektem englisch, da halt ich mich eigentlich ziemlich zurück..weil genau das rüberzubringen was man meint is dann teilweise echt schwer (für mich)

ja auf jeden fall das wäre echt mal was tolles. . . vll sogar nen thread wie ne art vermittlung wie z.b. user a will deutsch lernen, dann steht vll so nach sprachen geordnet im ersten post immer welcher user gerade wen such der ihm hilft und user b sieht das, is deutscher, und will user a helfen und vll kann man die beiden dann so vermitteln (das müsste dann halt jemand machen) und die können dann via msn, aim, yahoo, icq oder per mail miteinander schreiben und helfen. . . und dann gibts vll fälle wo user a deutsch lernen will und franzose ist und user b deutscher ist und französisch lernen will
das sollte ich echt mal vorschlagen aber dann wieder is das wieder so ne überwindung dasvorzuschlagen so wie sich keiner fragen traute wie man evboard ausspricht oder so
