it may not be prominent in the states but many millions were watching worldwide and what happened was a politically fueled farce, there are too many rules and regulations and everything is decided by committee.

And? The countless fans in Europe, here in Canada (myself included), and everywhere else that F1 has events are suddenly going to stop liking F1 because of this one incident? I highly doubt that. F1 will survive just fine.

many F1 fans have already stopped watching because of the poor racing, this incident will not help and I believe it to be another "nail in the coffin" F1 will survive but in what form come 2007?

I don't think its the death of F1 since you either like F1 or you don't, their really isn't many people in between. In Americia assuming you have heard of it you either like it or don't. Not sure if it is different in other countries but because their is a Nascarification going on, many people don't know of other forms or racing.

GPWC, which is basically F1 sans the FIA, Scuderia Ferrari, and possibly Midland-Jordan.

EDIT: And while I'm at it, I hereby nominate Paul Stoddard as GPWC President, and Peter Sauber as his running mate.

wow, i didnt think anyone would post anything on here. racing doesn't seem to be too popular on here. i watched it sunday and couldn't believe what i was seeing. it was so crazy it took my attention away from the nascar race. its sad that this happened. i feel bad for all the people who got ripped off.that was not a race. its too bad theres so much politics. this is probably a crazy idea because of the money and contracts involved but i wonder if Bridgestone would've considered lending the Michelin teams Bridgestone tires.
