Hi everybody !

First of all, my name is Claire, and I wanted to say that I'm french so please excuse me for all the faults (I'm only 17 and my english is not good...).


I won a game on the Official French Site, and thanks to that, I met Amy and John for The Open Door Avant Premiere. It took place in "La Maroquinerie", in Paris.
I was with some members of the site, and it was... There's no word to explain...

We were in a little room, with some food, and there was "Liberation Transmission", from Lostprophets, playing in the background. Everybody was shouting and then the music stopped...It was good sign I started to feel anxious..."Sweet Sacrifice" started... and I was shocked... "Is it Evanescence O_o ? I LOVE IT !!!". I looked everywhere, searching Amy and John (because the pass said that we would listen to the album with the band... but they did not come).The others were singing, they knew the lyrics, I felt disappointed, they had made something illegal... When it was Call Me When You're Sober, everybody was singing, screaming the lyrics, I hope that Amy and John heard that... Just before the end, someone from the official french site said that we must get together. The webmaster gave us a red bracelet. I was stressed, I was about to see Amy... We came downstairs, in a little room, there was two stools, Amy's piano and two guitars... The organizers explained how it will happen, and he said "Please welcome to Evanescence", I was so excited... John came on the stage, and then... Amy... I did not believe in it, Amy was there ... Waw she's so beautiful... So much more than she is on the pictures... John too... The interview started, someone asks to amy if one day, we will can hear songs which are not on the album... Amy had a memory lapse, and tried to remember herself the song by singing it in a low voice... I love this girl. I can't remember when she laughed for the first time... I love the way she laughs, I was waiting for that... I remember when she discreetly took her bottle on the piano behind her... She was so cute... The interview ended and Amy went to the piano, cleared her throat, John took his guitar...Some people, who wanted silence, said "shhhhhhhhht". Amy laughed and made fun of them : "shhh shhh shhhhht". I laughed. The show started. Amy has made a lot of progress, her voice is more beautiful than ever. They played 4, 5 or 6 songs, I don't remember. With my friend, we tried to realize what just happened to us. They went backstage and then, a bodyguard, or just a member of the security said that we must be in single file. Waw, I was going to see them with nobody between us... I was so far away, they were here again and I was under the shock, I did not see them returning ... I looked at John, then I tried to see Amy, she was there, and there was just 3 or 4 persons between us..Oh God she's so pretty..... I saw her hugging a boy, and I started to be very anxious, I wanted her to do the same thing with me... So I asked my friend to pass before me in order to explain to her. I saw Amy hugging my friend just in front of me, I saw her very well, I saw her eyes, they are SO magnificient... That was it ! It was my turn, there was nobody between Amy and me... She said "Hi !", I answered "Hi" too, and then, I can't realize but she gave me a hug... Waaw Amy was giving me a hug !! I was too shocked and too slow... I just had time to touched slightly her arm with my hand... Then I hold out to her the Fallen's sleeve, she said -"What's your name ?", I answered "Claire", and she repeated it. The fact that she addresses directly to me... Really disturbing...
I don't like my name but I like it more in her mouth xD. So, she wrote "To Claire, Love, Amy Lee". (http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/1...ser0001rt1.jpg) I said "Thank You" without looking at her ( *cries* ) and I went to John, who started to say "Do you want..." but he didn't have enough time to end this sentence, I gave him the Fallen's sleeve to him in order to he sign it, like Amy had made one minute earlier, he signed it, I said "thank you" again, and I went away... My friend told me he was *O_o*. I jumped of excitation "She told my name !! She told my naaaame and she gave me a hug aaaaaaaah". Then I tried to see them by far, last time before leaving. The French Site's Webmaster told us to wait because we could have a picture with the band... but Dutch stole us this luck... A man said it was too late for the photo. We were disappointed but it was over, we had to go away...
One last thing : if you think that Amy is beautiful on the pictures, it's nothing compared to what she is in the reality...
Yesterday, september 12th, I cried all the time, didn't realize what just happened to me... My biggest dream... I never thought I could fulfil it...

Evanescence will be on stage on November 8th in paris and 12th in Toulouse, but because of a school journey in Italy ( I'll come back in France on November 11th ** I'm deprived** ) I'll not be there, and Toulouse is too far and too expensive for me...

So, if you read this Amy (who knows ? Everything can happen now), thank you so much for being here, for being yourself...

You are so flipping lucky! Man I said to myself if I got to meet Evanescence and then for some reason I died the next day, I would die in pure happiness, It is one of my dreams to meet the band. But living down here all the way in the middle of nowhere called Mobile don't get much of a chance to see bands down here, except for Bayfest, I saw Seether but got trampled and was on crutches for like two weeks. But yea hopefully one day before I'm old and wrinkled I will get to meet Amy and the band. And not to bad on your English, did pretty good I thought. Well just wanted to tell you how LUCKY you are, and hopefully I will be able to see them in concert soon.

Wow Claire, you are sooooo lucky! i would have cried and probably have fainted right then and there lol. Cant wait to see them in concert October 7th woohoo! Of course i could never get a lucky as you, as to meet them and get to HUG amy!!

Thats the most amazing thing ever. She hugged you, shes not gonna hug a 6ft 2 20 yr old guy, Damn me for being born a guy and not french and female! But i hope to still get an autograph at the ny show. heres to hoping

She hugs everybody when she knows that you're a big fan... or if you ask her

Im gonna feel a little weird asking for a hug. Thats just me though. I will happily do it, if any other 20 yr old guy will admit to asking for a hug from amy lee.... hmmm im sure that didnt make much sense.

Wow you're so lucky!! And you got to hug her! Amy's so cute.

Man, I don't know of any celebrity who would actually be nice enough to hug one of their fans. About the only thing they would do is give you a "Hi" and maybe a brief handshake, then get back to business. But, Amy is sweet enough to give any fan who approaches her and tells her how much they like her a nice hug. That is so heartwarming, and it really shows how caring Amy is of other people. You are very lucky, but you should also consider that to be a special moment that you will never forget for the rest of your life. I hope I'll get the opportunity to do this exact same thing when I go to the concert in Phoenix.
