i love imaginary it is a song that i find is easy to find and take so much from the lyrics. it gives again and agian it is hard to tire from listening to any version. i think i prefer the fallen version it sounds more complete and finished yet it still has the rawness to it, possibly more so...
the origin and demo/ep version sounds raw but not as complete and whole(?)
i love the piano intro to it though... it seems light-hearted and alsmost a mockery to the heaveir themes and emotions explored.

i hope i made sense as people have been able to express their views and insights clearly i lack that skil a fair bit

Imaginary was definatly my favorite song off of Fallen, I've only heard the Origin version once, but i think i still perfer the Fallen version (as you have described

)

I think it drags a lil too much. It's a guitar and vocal intro structured like the Origin one... I don't think Ev have done this many versions of any other of their songs...must be a fav

I'm pretty sure the following is true, but it might just be me.

In the Fallen version, during the "swallowed up in the sound of my screaming...the goddess of imaginary light" verse, the back ground music is the violin piece they play at the end of Tourniquet, after the song's done, no?

I thought that the Origin version was Imaginary 2.0. I have 2.0 and it doesn't start with the Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming verse. Also the 'monsters' edit to me sounds like

"You can't leave the world you live in
Cause inside, something waits for you to breathe again.

That was truly a perfect explaination, I've always felt that the origin and basically all the other versions were lacking, the fallen version was the first one I heard and after listening to all the other ones, it still seems best, now I can use your reason as to why

I know this is an old post, but I have seen it plenty of times to give you a description...it's not a very big thing of it though...the description:
Camera closing in on a large plain with small buildings and people frolicking around as you hear the "aaaaAAAAAaaaaAAAAH Paaaaperrr Flooowwwwerrrss" and that is basically all it plays, then it shows clips...
