Ouchie. 10240 is pretty small. Even when I resize my image to 480x150, the size is still too big. :-/ I guess no images then.

The GIF and PNG file formats are quite versatile in regards to size, if you want to look into that more. I use photoshop for such things, but I haven't looked into what programs may be useful for making compact graphics aside from it.

If you use jpegs, and use photoshop, you can set the quality of the image when exporting it. If you lessen the quality a bit, it should still look pretty much the same, and for a 480x150 you should easily be able to get it under 10240, I would have thought.

Adding a url to an image would count as a link to an extarnal site wouldn't it? Unless it was stored on evbora.d But what the point of having someone click on a link to see a pic in your thread? Unless it's amusing enough.

Yes, regardless of if it is represented as text or an image on screen, a link to an outside site is a link to an outside site.
