Yes, but it seems like new people don't hurry up that much to become PS now, guess just an idea of coming here and talking about EV isn't a sufficient and effective push for them, and isn’t it an important thing to get more PS here?

Not to mention the people that are still stuck in the ages of 56k Dial-up (not me *hugs my 5GB/s line*) are much happier about this because their pages don't take 9 minutes to load your stupid signature that they peobably didn't care about anyway.

Though, I must agree that the non-PS no linking rule seems rather stupid. I really see no justification for it and I've only noticed so far that it just makes people unhappy. o.O

Would someone possibly know what the justification was for this decision?

Regardless of ToB justification, the fact is that the hack isn't keeping external links out of non-PS sigs, so it's kind of moot. I'll go edit that out of the first post.

On the other hand if someone's connection is so slow that it takes forever to load because of sign they can always just turn off the display of signatures in their control panel. The bigger problem with unrestricted filesize in signatures was people trying to put in animated gifs that ran at near film framerates. Even if you have a big pipe a couple large animated gifs would slow down older computers terribly.

Wait...Hold up. Are you implying that I have to have to justify every decision I make to you now? Have I been too nice recently or something???

Ok, since this is the thread regarding sig limits, I'm going to ask for a little help in here. This is the image I originally wanted in my sig (huge size, I know). Since it was too big, I made it smaller, and turned it to 0 quality ( ), and it's still too big. (this is how it looks in a smaller, crappier version).

Now, can anyone please help me with the sig? You know, make it fit the limits and all? Pretty please?

Here ya go, I converted it to a 12 color .gif. You can see the differences but they don't look horrible (at least not to me). Plus it's at your original size.

I vote that the restrictions be made so that NO images can be used, and only 2 lines of text maximum be used.

I doubt ToB will agree, but that's just how I like my sigs

Yes. You must tell me everything you do and why. I now expect a 4 page handwritten essay on this subject every week.

It just seems like a strange restriction...but it's your board to manage and not mine. As long as I keep paying you money all the time, I'll be happy.

I agree. If people don't want to come here because their sig isn't allowed that's their problem. I'm here to talk to fellow Evanescence fans and to talk about one of my fav bands, not to show off my creative skills. If they want to show off their stuff they can still use the Your Stuff forum. There are loads of people there who like to see people's creations, you don't just have to stuff in your sig.
