this could work and it could work well, bring the competitive fun in- in the form of poetry and wallpaper, sigs or photo editing comps- that always brings fun.

maybe on a similar idea to this is bringing the writters group (or whatever it is called) back to some sort of functioning life. it could be good and it could be fun we have some talented writters out there and maybe if it gets restarted we can bring some more posts and talented people in.

I second the multiple contest thing. Just as with the karaoke, we can be given a certain theme to go off of. Or it could always be a bit more specific... like to photoshop a particular pic of Amy and make a sig with it. That way it would be sometimes easier to judge instead of getting a crazy amount of entries. (Which is why I'm glad the karaoke peeps are being limited by songs, for the post part.)

But yeah, we should totally have contests. PLZ!

I tried to have a sig/banner contest a couple months back and only one person entered. 70,000 points was the booty for the contest.

How did I not hear about the sig contest?! I think the contest thing is a good idea too, i brings together a sense of community. There were some ppl that didn't know about the karaoke contest though. Is there some other place that can be more prominant to draw attention to these events (though I can't imagine
