I has been decided that some of the older debate topics that have been locked can be started up again as new threads. We feel that since the majority of regular posters on this board were not around to participate in the discussions, we will allow some topics to start again.

We figured no one is going to read through pages and pages of comments, so we thought it would be a good idea to start from scratch.

The only exception is the abortion thread. That topic comes up so frequently in other threads related to politics and religion, plus some of the mods are quite frankly sick of seeing it discussed to death.

If you would like to revive a thread in the Debate forum, please PM one of the more regular mods with the topic you would like to revive, plus a link to the previously locked thread. The mod will let you know if the topic is OK to start a thread about.

This is a great idea!!
I know there are probably alot of us, who have only been here for a while,
and have missed alot of certin threads, that do look really interesting.
Personally, I love the threads that can be more of a possitive, or give more
of a possitive outlook on things in general, or about certin issues that people
go through in everyday life.
I am going to have to go through a few, and decide witch ones I would
like to have posted to.
But you Mods, have great ideas, and I will definitely be sure to let one of you
know if I find one!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, as many times as it takes.

I vote in favor of a "Sent/Read/Replied" column in the Private Messaging area. You know, like on MySpace? In the inbox, it says Unread/Read/Replied, and in the outgoing box it says Sent/Read/Replied. That way you know if people are actually reading your messages or just deleting/ignoring them.

Just something I think would be interesting and nice to have.

You can send confirmations with your PM's so that you at least know if someone has read them.

Edit: And yeah Karen, I am going to edit his post, cause we all know who wears the pants in the family...and he apparently needs to keep his on. ;-)

I'll send this to Chris in a PM to make sure he gets it. I think it is a good idea as well. But, he may not be able to do it.
