Hmm...mine does that whenever I have my iPod idle for a while. Did you let your iPod be for a few minutes before playing? I'm guessing no...but if it works fine, then it should be alright.

If it's going to bother you, try updating your firmware using the latest updater

Hahaha. CD players are still great because they still play music and they still do it's job: provide music. IMO, iPods are just magnets for illegal music downloads. At least with CD players you can start a legal CD collection..unless you burn. XD
