Ofcourse, there are loads of other bands out there and loads of different music out there. But Evanescence's music and sound is just so completely different and distinct from the rest of it that makes it so addictive and such a comfort to listen to over and over again. It is their distinct sound that makes me a loyal Ev fan. But really, if this band is going nowhere in the future(or, rather, now) then its time to move on. But it will always be nostalgic to listen to Ev's music and there can only be one Evanescence.

In the meantime, I have been listening to trance music, just as addictive as Ev's music which makes it a good substitute. It sure is a long wait for any of their new material. Loyalty is key.

And then one might discover that there are a lot of bands a LOT better than Ev. Not that Ev aren't good - don't misinterpret me. But once your mind has been opened...you won't be sorry! there's a whole METALWORLD OUT THERE PEOPLE

Personally, I never get sick of listening to the old stuff. But, of course, I would love something new.

I listen to the entire Open Door atleast once I day.

But since they're away for so long, you an count of them giving us some good stuff when they do put a new album out.

It's not like all these little pop stars spit out a bunch of new crap like every 6 months.

I trust Amy is putting every ounce of herself into the music as always, and that takes time.

I noticed that when Amy takes awhile to release stuff it's always really good. I remember how disappointed I was when I heard that they put the Open Door on hold for awhile, but it certainly was worth it. I say that Evanescence should take their time with the music because the longer they take the even better the music will be.

I listen to Evanescence everyday. I love the demos and Origin a lot! I listen to The Open Door and Fallen a lot as well, I cannot wait for some new stuff! I am more open minded about music though. I don't just listen to Evanescence, with a broader horizon things are a lot better.

You'll be waiting for at least a couple of years. O_o
I am sure Amy willl be doing different thinngs, over that period
of time, just like she already did that one song for The Nightmare
Before Christmas.
IMO, I know it really sucks having to wait, and alot of people are
so eager for a new album already, but I also see it as, Ev won't
be exhausted anymore to do their next album.
In the mean time...*Go's to listen to their albums I have already*

I don't know what to think about Ev anymore. I've definitely moved on. Evanescence will never be real Evanescence again. But thats the way it's been for years. I think TOD was dire in comparison to Fallen, Origin, and to some extent, even the EP's and I believe that was due to Ev losing Ben as a contributor to the album.

That said, I don't agree to Amy bashing. We don't know what made them all leave. But it's funny how the star of the show is still the only one left. I also wouldn't be surprised if Amy went solo from here. I think that would be a nice option for her. I do think the Sally cover sounds rather good.
