Jamie, you are crazy talented. I could ramble on but it won't do your work justice so I will keep it minimal. Your ability to draw any number of scenes in any piece is a gift. Keep it up.

Diamond Path

Please just explain to me
Why I can't feel anything anymore
Why I can't live outside my glass house
Would the walls break if I step outside?
If I just touched them
If I just tried to reach out to you
Would they shatter?
Into a million little pieces,
I'd be surrounded by glass...
A diamond path...
But watch out, you'll bleed if you follow it
It leads to freedom
It takes me away from this
I won't be dependant on you
I'll only rely on me...
The glass house still sits in place
I'm afraid to move,
But aching just to step out the door
I'll watch the walls break one day
And I'll walk the diamond path

awesome imagery jamie...even though the premise of the piece is actually very sad...the way you've written it with images of diamonds and glass...makes it seem glossy and like you're on the way to the emerald city...that's not a criticism btw...it's great.

I'm starting to get a bit too sappy with my writing.

I like it though.

I'm awake at three a.m. again
I've lost sleep -- but not sanity
If anything I'm more rested
I wish everyone could feel what I do
