Katamari Damacy
This has got to be the weirdest game I've ever played. In Japanese Katamari Damacy means "clump of souls."
The second the opening sequence starts, you know the japanese guys that created this game were this close to an overdose. The story is that the King of All Cosmos destroyed all the stars, and you his pint sized son of a prince, use a katamari(a ball that picks stuff up) and go to Earth(because it has the most stuff). On this strange planet you must roll your katamari around picking up just about anything you see(rats, candy, people, cows, building, giant mushrooms...). You start off very small picking up buttons and pieces of candy but eventually you will be able to pick up people, cows, cars, whales, skyscrapers, and even the god neptune. This also has one of the strangest soundtracks you will ever hear. Well this is probably one of my favorite games and if you haven't played it you should. *singing the Katamar Dhamacy tune* Naaaa na na na nana na na na na na na na naaaaa.......That game is SUPERBLY TRIPPY. that probably doesn't make any sense but you know what...NEITHER DOES THAT GAME! All I can say is every time someone sees that opener for the first time (including myself)..they look at those mushrooms on the scene and go..YEP..that's the inspiration for the game..and I don't mean regular mushrooms either
