I'm going at 4:05 today to see this movie and it is going to be great.
I downloaded both soundtracks. I got the first one back when the first movie was still in theaters. I love the first one, the second one isn't as good in my opinion. I loved most of all the songs on the first soundtrack. I couldn't decide which was my favorite though. It was a toss up between Lonely Shepherd (the song by Zamfir the pan-pipe master) and Flowers of Carnage (the song that was played after O-ren died). |

NO SPOILERS
Volume 1: 9 of 10 Volume 2: 8.5 of 10 I felt the slow pace was a touch out of place regarding how the plot of the film is, but it really didn't hamper anything. It was slow, but never boring. The dialogue in the film was perfect. As was the colorful cinematography (colors, black and white, the way it was shot, light). So, writing and direction were flawless. The soundtrack was great. The acting was far more serious this time around. It made the characters stronger and more complex while adding more to the story. The rare action scenes were energized and fun. The training sequence with Pai Mei was funny and exciting. I must say it's a little less entertaining than Volume 1, it's a very mature, funny, and well-made film. |
