i tend to it in a pattern of 7 knocks, i think in the way roger rabbit rabbit or someone does it i cant remember

I never really paid attention actually, but I'm thinking probably three times unless I'm trying to annoy someone then I do it a whole bunch of times.

Our boss' boss has a signiture knock. He knocks in the "shave and a haircut" pattern. Kinda bugs me because he does it every single time. So whenever I knock on his door I have a signiture knock of my own, the opening measure of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nactmusik.

For most other folks I lnock in the opening drum pattern to an old Journey song from the Escape album, a song called Dead or Alive. That way they know it's me.

Ok so I'm wierd. Did anyone ever doubt that?

I think it's normally 5 times. Not that any sane person really stands there and consciously counts the number of times they knock on a door. Unless you have OCD or something...
