Me too. I have 2 albums and treasure "untouchables". That is such an awesome album the songs really mean something and everything. I'll still support their new stuff though, gotta give it as fair chance!

I just bought Issues and it rocks so much!
My parents hate KoRn. My dad was like: what are you going to buy? and I showed him Issues and my dad almost wanted to hold it to see what it was and he saw 'Korn, Issues' and he was like: oh...

it's so hilarious

i heard their new single the other week, it's different musically and also jon sings about someone else, rather than in the first person (as i think they've all been in the past, at least from what i remember on the three albums i have: greatest hits, untouchables and issues. except word up! but those aren't their lyrics). apparently this is the song's meaning:
Quote:
You know that feeling when you're alone in your room, you feel bad and nothing around you seems to be going well then suddenly when you turn on your radio, you are immediately 'deep in the music'. Thats exaclty the subject of Twisted Transistor with the lyrics : "A lonely life where no one understands you but don't give up because the music do". Musically, this track is, like all of the new album, very different compared to anything we've done before. There are still some heavy parts and others more cool and 'adventurous'. We have made an enourmous progress, that's for sure. This album is that good,i still cant realize it!
i'm interested in what the new album's going to be like, can't judge it on the one song (i'd guess it's an adventurous song? it's certainly different) but anyway, roll on 6th dec! oh and the selling out arguments are even more heated now people should give it a rest, it was bad enough when they covered word up!, but it's been going on since around untouchables? i like that album

link? the only official korn board i noticed was one where you had to pay for membership to their club iirc (korn kamp or something). but if you see korn discussions on various music sites across the internet you'll probably see people saying "old korn was so much better" etc, even in actual korn communities. so if their official board has some people saying that too then i wouldn't be surprised. anyway i think the song is growing on me now.

It's the official Korn board (Korn Kamp is a big rip-off). I was just wondering because there's MASSIVE threads on the whole 'Are Korn sell-outs' and 'I hate Twisted Transistor'. I agree, they should give it a rest, at least it takes the focus off of the Untouchables/TALITM bashings. PS: I like Untouchables & TALITM! Thanks for the song meaning, isn't that a Jon quote from a recent magazine (can't remember the name)? Apparently there's some industrial tracks, old-Korn-style tracks and some completely new tracks including the TALITM screaming style.

okay, i'll look sometime then (i'd never pay to join a forum anyway, btw).

i'm not sure where it originally came from, but the quote was credited to jon. i found it on the songmeanings website (i think the user comments are unmoderated there, so it can be one of the worst places for arguments. read the misheard lyrics on the thoughtless page, so funny with people having a fit over, erm.. 'monkey business').

old korn tracks sounds good, i love shoots and ladders from the s/t album, etc, i'd welcome those in a similar style. i've not really heard much of talitm, just y'all wanna single, everything i've known, etc. i heard something about more "epic" songs, can't remember if it was here or lj or wherever though. maybe you even posted it, my memory's that bad.

apparently korn are supposed to be getting rappers to play them in their new video, not sure if there's any truth in the rumour though. if it is true then maybe it's not meant to be serious, like word up!. i can only imagine how that's going down on the korn boards though should be interesting whatever they do though, i wonder if it'll be similar to falling away from me, iirc they were playing inside a girl's box to begin with.

When Korn frontman Jonathan Davis got frustrated that MTV never seemed to play rock videos anymore, he had an idea: why not get a bunch of the band's friends who are hip-hop stars to play Korn in a video. That's exactly what transpires in the clip for the new single, "Twisted Transistor," which finds Lil' Jon, Xzibit, Snoop Dogg and David Banner stepping into the roles of Davis, bassist Fieldy, guitarist Munky and drummer David Silveria, respectively.

Davis tells Billboard.com the idea came to him, of all places, while he was cruising around on a yacht in Monte Carlo with Silveria and Munky. "I flew it over to Dave Meyers, because he's the go-to guy for great hip-hop videos, and he spun it and wrote the treatment," Davis says.

Although Davis declined to reveal specifics, he confirms Korn appears "somewhere" in the video and that the rap stars will be seen playing instruments, since "they're in our world. Just getting four rappers in the same place is near f***ing impossible, but we pulled it off."

Davis says in addition to the standard-length clip, there will also be a seven or eight-minute mini-movie version. "It's so amazing," he enthuses. "It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen."

As previously reported, "Twisted Transistor" is drawn from Korn's upcoming Virgin debut, "See You on the Other Side," due Dec. 6. Davis says the group recorded 12 songs with hitmaking production team the Matrix and another eight with producer Atticus Ross.

"The regular version of the album will have 14 songs, and there'll be a special edition which has 17," Davis says. "The whole record in its entirety is so different. There are some straight-ahead, heavy rock tunes, but they're a different kind of heavy. It's like we have this industrial bastard child that flailed its head out of us."

Korn will play a handful of shows before the end of the year, but Davis says he expects a full North American tour won't get underway until March or April.

So I guess it's true - this is gonna be...well...different.

They seem to be taking it quite well (strange reaction) -
http://www.korn.bhlabs.com/kornboard...ad.php?t=92002

I don't know how to react to this - I REALLY don't like rappers...although it could be funny. On the upside for Korn it'll get alot of airtime with such famous rappers in the video.

EDIT: This is SO weird...
