The third single would likely hit radio February/March 2007 at the earliest. As a matter of fact, I'd venture to say longer than that because Ev is going to have to put Lithium out and holiday play and year-end countdowns on stations is going to get in front of that. They're (Wind-up's Promo Team) going to wait for Lithium to peak and lose steam and then probably Spring '07 promote whatever the third single is. I like Lacrymosa and hope you're right.

Yeah...so I don't think that Lacrymosa would ever make it as a single.
I mean, it's mostly just lyrics put into a revamped Mozart song. Isn't exactly "single-worthy", if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I love Lacrymosa. But, I'm just not feeling it...you know? |

Lacrymosa would be a good third single, I'd love to hear it in the radio and I hope it will be the third single, but maybe amy and the band or wind-up records will chose another song that hits the radio stations more
but I bet lacrymosa would be great

lacrymosa info
(I posted this is the kerrang podcast thread as people were talking about Lacrymosa but figured this would be a better place for it)
i noticed a lot of people who are curious about the Mozart Requiem and thought I'd give you some info on it. I'm studying a music degree at the moment and we studied the Lacrymosa in detail last year. A 'Requiem' is a funeral mass, latin. Many composers take the structure of a requiem mass and make their own music for each section such as the 'agnus dei' and 'lacrymosa', etc. so when you search for 'requiem' or 'lacrymosa' be sure to find the right one! Also something really interesting is that the 'Lacrymosa' was not all written by Mozart. Mozart wrote all of what you hear in the ev version and a little bit after that but all the rest was written by a pupil of his called Sussmayr. Mozart was fatally ill and on his death bed and I think it was his wife who basically decided that Sussmayr had to finish the work for him. There is a lot of uncertainty as to how much and in what way Mozart did this, there may have been small sections of sketches that Sussmayr may have used but basically the majority of the Lacrymosa is not written by Mozart. There is a lot of controversy surrounding the Lacrymosa because everyone has a different view on whether it is 'authentic' Mozart or not and we don't know how close to Mozart's (would-have-been)version Sussmayr's was. There are even 2 other versions (I forget the name of the composers) of people who thought they could finish it better than Sussmayr. I must say Sussmayr did a great job, even though I was dissapointed when I found out it wasn't all mozart but it certainly makes it special. Also quite fitting that the funeral mass was Mozarts last work. |

Hmmm...interesting. Actually I think this song could have done without the Requiem part thrown in, but whatever. It's a good 'un.
I actually think this song sounds more like "Bleed" than "Whisper." The progression and everything sounds more similar, at least to my ears. |

i would be happy if Lacrymosa becomes a single. and i'm sure amy would like it to be a single, and if she wants as a single she should go for it. i mean look with CMYWS. Lacrymosa...great song! the best!

Joseph Eybler? I know that Mozart's widow offered to give the unfinished score to him before she gave the score to Sussmayr... or something like that. Hmmm.... Anyway... about the Ev version... it's beautiful and epic and lovely... but I can't help but to wonder if there would be an audience for it on the radio. Lacrymosa is mostly an update of a Mozart piece... so would our radio stations, which seem to be full of gangster rap and computerized songs that all sound the same, have people stop and listen to it? **thinks for a moment** Does that make any sense? The video would be amazing. |

So...I love Lacrymosa now. To pieces. But was anyone else disappointed with it in the beginning? We heard this amazing symphonic metal-esque "teaser" for it...and yes, you can't judge a song on 30 seconds, but I know I wasn't the only one who hoped the entire song would be that fantastic lol. So it was a let-down when I heard the whole thing.
I also wished they had used more of the original song...Most of it was just the "Lacrymosa, dies illa" part, which is cool, but there's so much more to the original song than that. However, now that I've gotten over the preconceived notions I had before, I really like it. I think the melody Amy sings fits nicely with the choir behind her; she doesn't try to overpower the amazing stuff behind her but lets it add to her vocals. And of course when the guitars slam in, it's just awesome ![]() So, it's not at the very top of my list, but Lacrymosa won me over, and I love it. ![]()
