We heard this amazing symphonic metal-esque "teaser" for it...and yes, you can't judge a song on 30 seconds, but I know I wasn't the only one who hoped the entire song would be that fantastic lol. So it was a let-down when I heard the whole thing.

I also wished they had used more of the original song...Most of it was just the "Lacrymosa, dies illa" part, which is cool, but there's so much more to the original song than that.

However, now that I've gotten over the preconceived notions I had before, I really like it. I think the melody Amy sings fits nicely with the choir behind her; she doesn't try to overpower the amazing stuff behind her but lets it add to her vocals. And of course when the guitars slam in, it's just awesome

So, it's not at the very top of my list, but Lacrymosa won me over, and I love it.

Definitely! At first I was so excited because the lyrics sounded powerful, the music sounded powerful, everything sounded so damn POWERFUL! but when i really heart it, the music was more calm and amy sounded sad, not empowered.

but as katya said, it has grown on me..

i still hear, instead of 'and you can blame it on me,' 'too much is leaning on me', because that's what i thought i heard in the trailer. bah!

A Very Cool MUSIC VIDEO!!

If this was made as a single the music video would be AWESOME--

In the beggining acts of this song will be total blackness and then things become more brighter and you see a couple of ballerina's(that has string attached like puppets) dancing with a white ballerina gown and it has some black smudges and its kind of torned with a black background... then it shifts to amy who sings the opening part

"Out on your own
cold and alone again
can this be what you really wanted, baby? "

as she says "baby" she puts her hand out softly and slowly and lowers it in the front of the camera and put her head down...

then the camera zooms out and shes on the stage floor laying there as the ballerina's are in the background dancing as if they were kind of dead (possessed) like the - Cradle Of Filth - No Time To Cry-- video and then she sings...

"Blame it on me
set your guilt free
nothing can hold you back now"

with a very sad, sorrowful, weak expression on her face and turns her head on the side after she says "back now" and then it fades.

Then the ballerina's are focused and the camera fades in and shes has string attached to her like puppets one of them and shes dancing very weak... sad... with mascara leaking down her eyes..and before she starts sings the screen flashes really quick with her screamin or scared...

Now when she starts singing--

"Now that you're gone
I feel like myself again
grieving the things I can't repair and willing ... "

shes still on the stage but this time shes at a desk like shes playing in a play... and she has memories on the desk like.. pictures, poetry, ect. and the camera is slighty zoomed in by her face with everything pitched black except a little light on the desk... and you look at her really upset and she brushes with her hand at the pictures.. which the camera will then show..

then when she starts singing

"to let you blame it on me
and set your guilt free
I don't want to hold you back now love"

she throws all her pictures and memories that were on the disk... and she looks as if she was crying and just going out of her mind... then the camera fades after "love"

then before she says

"I can't change who I am"

you see her attached to string like a puppet with puppets in the background... and when she starts to sing

"not this time, I wont lie to keep you near me"

she rips out the strings and walks foward and then very powerful she sings

"and in this short life, there's no time to waste on giving up
my love wasn't enough "

then you see the ballerina's replicating what she just did so there free and you see them not sad anymore... and then amy says

"and you can blame it on me
just set your guilt free, honey"

and it zooms on at her face by her eyes the most and then she says in a very strict powerful voice

"I don't want to hold you back now love"

wow this is long.... lol but it seems like a good video for this song

In my opinion, this i the best song on the album. I love Mozart and to hear a rock version of Lacrymosa is like music to my ears (lol)!

I agree with that, this song is so awesome and beautiful and cool besides I think this was the last song Mozart compose then he died , anyway Lacrymosa it's so emotional and when amy sings "my love wasn't enough" I want to cry! it reminds me too many things so I love it cause it helps me to let it out all my pain and all my rage

I'm so excited. My school chorus just started learning the Latin version of this song and when I found out it was backup on the song, I almost screamed!!

I just heard Lacrymosa for the first time. As said before, when I listened to the trailer I expected a powerful, hugely epic song, but when I heard it, it seems a much more calmer and smoother piece. Almost like the trailer was the exact opposite, but still the same song, if that makes any sense. At the same time, though I don't love it because of it's metal and harder elements, I love it just for the song itself, when I don't think of the trailer clip. It'd be better if I didn't hear the trailer so I'd have expectations, but I like it as a slower, musical mixture. So I do like the song, just for different reasons than what I expected. The only thing that really annoys me about this song is on the second chorus when she says "I don't want to hold you back now love", the word "love" sounds very hollow and raspy and just gets on my nerves when I hear it, which kinda sucks cause I love the rest of the song and that happens to be right in the middle. So, anyways, that's my opnion on it. Sorry if all my opinions have been posted before by other people. I don't have enough time to read the entire thread.
