Still its his intellectual property. Someone owns those rights. If you're going to butcher a song, and sticking words like baby to MOZART, you might as well credit the poor man.

lol about the "baby" thing! I never thought that Amy would use words like baby or honey in her lyrics. -_-

Maybe you dont have to credit someone if he is dead. I dunno much about the whole copyright thing.. but I agree they should have credited Mozart.

Copyright lasts 70 years after the death of the creator. Additionally, anything published prior to 1923 is free of copyright. Mozart's work is therefore public domain, with no restrictions whatsoever on its use -- and good thing too. Overly long copyrights (and this is coming from someone who tried to make a living from writing for ten years) are intellectual strangleholds.

I don't think she was referring to copyrights. No matter when the copyright expired, it doesn't change the owner of a creation. I took it that it would just be decent to give credit where it's due.

Exactly, Mozart gets credited everywhere else, what makes TOD the exception? Intellectual property is intellectual property.
