Woohoo that's great for Lacuna Coil!!

To be fair to Nightwish, didn't they only just switch over to Century Media? Hmm... they have great merchandise on their website...

Exclamation tour rumor update

Well, looks like any 2004 tour rumors for Lacuna Coil are just that - rumors. Maus from LC said this:

-He wasn't aware of the Cradle Of Filth tour option
-No more US tours till 2005 (whether or not the same goes for Europe I do not know)
-He said they were were getting a lot of offers but they want to take a break to write a new record.

I think this is smart of them (to take a break and write a new record). Plus, it'll give me time to save up some more money for a cross-country LC show tour

I just heard Heaven's a Lie on the radio, again. I have yet to hear Swamped.

Has anyone heard it [Swamped] on the radio?

Unforunately no. The radio stations in my area are annoying in this sense. They play LC down in Tucson (about 2 hours from the metro-Phoenix area), but not here. I've called them up several times, but they just "don't see the need to play them."

After Ozzfest is over and everyone realizes the immense unique qualities of Lacuna Coil, they'll probably start playing them and claiming to be in love with their music or something.

Feyith is on a distinguished road
I heard the song called "A Ghost Between Us" and thought it was very cool. Even though I like Cristina's voice are there any other instrumental songs like that?

That is a great song!

There aren't any other instrumentals of that style really. There is a track off of the Halflife EP (and the Unleashed Memories cd which includes the five track EP) called "Trance Awake" which is a 2 minute long "instrumental" that leads into "Senzafine".

Cool double post...stfu!

here's the short Q&A with Cristina from Stuff Magazine:

stuff: when people hear that you're the lead singer of a metal band, do they expect you to be tattooed and to bite the heads off of bats?

cristina: not really. they actually expect me to be the opposite - in high heels and supersexy, because i like to look like that in pictures.

do you therefore get crazy male groupies?

some people write to me about my feet because of the sandals i wore in one photo session. people went crazy for my feet! but usually when men come up to me, they don't tick me off or say anything rude. they always kiss my hand or say, "won't you marry me?" or "can i have a hug?" they are really polite. i don't want to know what they say behind my back.

they're probably wondering how your bass player, marco coti zelati, took you off the market 10 years ago.

we met in the metal club where i used to bartend. i said to him, "you look good with short hair." he was completely drunk and he said, "you never saw me with long hair." that's what sealed the first meeting. he made me laugh.

do you ever party like, well, a rock star?

there are parties where you get completely wasted, and the day after, you don't even remember what you did. in dallas, vinnie paul and dimebag darrell drove us to their strip club in a limo as we drank whiskey. it was pretty rock star. and we had a crazy party night with pod at pleasure island in disney world. there are, like, five or six clubs, and we visited all of them. you can imagine the way we came back home.

yeah, we were totally messed up after mr. toad's wild ride. - cara lynn shultz

Also, www.stuffmagazine.com should have some "exclusive pics" from the photoshoot up by next week. i'll keep ya updated!!

I heard quite a few people were upset about that article, because they leave the other members out and make it to be 'Cristina, the super hot metal band chick'. I thought by how peoples reactions were, it was going to be a terrible article.. but I actually liked it. There's possibly something else in the magazine, a review or something .. but all in all, it was a nice Q&A. Thanks for the typeup!

Yeah, unfortunately that's how it seems to work out when there's a lone female member in a band. I've read other interviews with some of the other members and they give great ones! They've all got a great sense of humor.

They've also all made it clear that they understand that Cristina will get the majority of the attention, because she's a) 1/2 of the lead singers and b) she's a woman. Their lack of egos helps immensely in this sense.

I think it's safe to assume that the Lacuna Coil fans who are fans of the entire band's passion respect each member for what they contribute to the band, and they (the band members) feed off of that respect and are some truly amazing people to support.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I'll be getting a Metal Hammer magazine from about three years ago that has the "lost Cristina interview", so I'll be sharing that once I get it as well.
