Alright here's the whole story as I've been told, from a dude that's friends with the band.
The option to tour with Puddle Of Mudd was presented, the band wanted to get seen by some bigger crowds and thought it was going to happen, but apparently POM had just mentioned the idea or something and it didn't happen. Originally after that tour they were supposed to do around ten US headlining shows sponsored by radio stations. Now that the POM thing isn't happening they were supposed to be doing a mainly West Coast headlining tour, the dates I already posted are all the curenntly known dates, and considering the small cities they're playing and the emptiness of their schedule in Decemeber, it's looking like it'll be more of a nationwide tour than they've been playing. Those are all very small clubs, and the tickets are all very cheap, and all headlining. I heard something about The Killing opening, I don't know if that applies to all the shows or if that's changed recently. edit-two new dates today Club Raven on November 30th in Edgerton, Wisconsin Oasis One Sixty on December 2nd in Chicago Heights, Illinois I'm hoping St. Louis is after that one. |

Yes, that whole "Even though one of us is still underage, we're gonna play this club" thing confused me a good deal. The rest of the dates on their club tour were all ages, I believe. But a lot of their fans are like 19, 20, now. It's been what, 6 1/2 years since 'MMMBop' came out?
And nah, they're not broken up. The new album is coming out some time early next year, February or so. Katie digs them too, she might know. |

I found it puzzling how Hanson would do an 18+ show as well, but... my sis is almost 19 now, and she probably would have been 12-13 when her big Hanson obsession first started... so it's not AS weird as it first seems.
I'm lucky that I never really liked music enough until recently to worry about going to 19+ (as they are here) shows. I think the first time I actually wanted to go to a concert was Tool in November '01, but I didn't because I had a midterm and at the time felt it was more important than seeing Tool live. :? *still kicking himself for THAT move* Back on topic... somehow... If only this band would come out here...it looks as if there's PROBABLY western dates to be announced, however... I can't see them crossing the border. What's pretty cool is the fact that since I haven't bought many CDs recently, I'm appreciating a lot of the ones I bought during the summer a lot more than originally. Lacuna Coil is increasingly becoming one of my absolute fave bands. Many thanks to the people here talking about them and exposing me to something new and damn cool. ![]() |
