I love LC, but yeah, Karmacode has less kick to it than their other albums. I was expecting more after seeing videos of live performances of the songs. There you can here a definate kick in the songs, but it didn't translate in the studio it seems. Fragile and Our Truth are probably the only two songs on the album that I can hear more of kick in. Then again, they're at the begining which is where I have my full attention into the album, but anyway. I'm sure it'll grow on me the same way In A Reverie did. I was not impressed with that album at all when I got it and now I love it.

I personally love the outros. They give you a real chance to jam to the music. So far I agree that the new music is not spectacular, but it is good, so I'll definitely be getting a copy of the album.

Where did you guys download Karmacode? I was gonna wait until it was released but if it is like most of you are saying I might download one or two more songs. I know I'll probably like it. But, like most albums it'll probably have to really grow on me so I'm thinking of downloading another song. Can any of you tell me where you got it from and recommend a song or two?
Cheers. ![]()

If I had never heard of Lacuna Coil, and this was the first CD I had ever heard by them, I would love it. The music itself is not bad. The problem is, having all of their CD's, I have seen their musical progression. This CD didn't so much expand off of Comalies, but copied it. I was hoping to see something different. And as for "Enjoy the Silence", when I heard they were doing it I really want to hear a soft, sultry version. Christina has such a sexy voice, and she really could have pulled off a softer version of it. So, for the people who don't really know LC, this album will be good. It has the commercial appeal for most rock fans. And, taken by itself, it is not a bad album. For the fans who have all the albums, and were hoping to hear something different, it is somewhat of a disappointment.

I think I'm gonna wait until KC is released before getting the songs and listening to them all for the first time (except Our Truth, which has really grown on me since I first heard it). Although I won't be able to get it right away... not with this crazy-as-hell semester I've had, with Tuesdays being my busiest day of the week.
A nice end-of-the-semester reward/present sounds kinda nice, actually.Still meaning to get Unleashed Memories, too. And In a Reverie. And the EPs, too. *lol* |
