Hey have any of you guys been to Hot Topic lately? Well they've recently posted a picture of LC on their main page and they have an interview as well. Check it out.

well. they did Sensafine, and They did heaven's a lie as last song.
and uhm, one song with cristina alone. no idea wich one that was.

Anyway, the day started with poisonblack. They were good, but my least favourite of that night.I liked their non-live stuff more.
with Passenger its the other way around, i didnt like them when i got some songs of them. But on stage they were just awesome, loved it.
hehe some tall guy infront of me(curse him) couldnt see alot
anyway, there was a guy with long blond hair headbanging next to him, slapping his hair against the tall guys face. hehe i loved it, thats for getting in my way.

hmm 3th was moonspell, they were just evil. I loved it, that guy looked like he could jump in the crowd and murder us all.I loved it when he got a big long staff, with a skull as head. banging it on the floor etc. it was just awesome.
and by now my back was killing me, it felt bad.
anyway, after that.. of course lacuna coil started. Cristina was hot, wearing some kind of schoolgirl uniform/dress, not sure what it was, but hot :P
I have no idea with what song they started with. Lacuna coil went by too fast, and around the half. I was starting to feel bad, sick.. dizzy. so i stumbled to the toilets, bumping against everything.. people/walls it felt like i was instant-drunk, i think i almost fainted.
then sat on the toilet for a minute and everything was back to normal and went back. I think i only missed half a song, im not sure. cause that time it was all a blur.
oh yeah, and cristina was sick, good thing they didnt want to cancel the show

we couldnt stay at the end, so i dont know if any of the bands came out for autographs etc. We had to rush to the train station.
wooo! Thanks for the review! It sounds like you had a great time! Hopefully I can see LC soon... they rule live!

Wow, talk about your parallels.

Some of the stuff in this interview I can compare with Evanescence.

I know what you're all thinking *shitstirrer*

But think about how similar their tastes are.

Fashion is important for both bands (I'd say moreso for LC than for Ev)

Christina says that we're not into cliches and that you can't put them into a certain category and so does Amy.

The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack? This had been mentioned I think on Ev Radio.

Christina and Amy are both into Korn.

They're both into Type O Negative.

Not sure how much Ev is into Opeth (I'll have to research that )

I'm probably reading into it too much but whatever.

The comparisons continue :? . Interesting interview and thanks very much.

There is a thing called parralel evolution. IF people are into aot of the same things then they tend to be similar (especially when it comes to music and musicians) Take for example my drummer and myself. . .We had never met until 7 years ago, however we both play guitar and are into ALOT of the same bands (have been for quite some time) Oddly enough we have very similar personalities, we have also realized that our playing and writing styles on guitar are damn near identical, yet. . .we have no actual case of one copying another, just the fact that our tastes had been so similar that this was the end result.

Hm...not many n00bs posting..Guess I will.

I personally just experienced my first taste of LC and I thought their sound really drew me in. Same way I heard Evanescence for the first time. The female's voice contrasting over the guitars and drums really does something for me. I love their sound and I'm heavily considering buying their cd(s).

OK, bringing this back up because A: someone can't seem to use the search funtion or even to scroll down the page before posting a "duplicate" thread (which has since been locked) also bringing this up because B: Lacuna kicks ass and Cristina is just SO nice and gorgeous.

Hi guys!
Last night I went to the amazing Lacuna Coil show here in Milan, it was awesome!

I posted my little review here (put in the Evanescence chat 'cause I also talk about Amy): http://www.evboard.com/viewtopic.php?t=14213&postdays=0&postorder =asc&start=0

P.S. A lot of people told me I should go fuck myself 'cause I said that Cristina's voice impressed me more than Amy's voice in the live set... Don't quite understand most of those comments...

It's just lik when people were offended by someone suggesting Tarja from Nightwish and Amy looked alike. Sure they don't look at all alike but that's no reason to say it's an insult to Amy. Tarja is a beautiful woman. If anything, it's a complement.
There are plenty of trained singers who have a better voice than Amy out there. It's not something to bring Amy's talent down. It's the simple truth. Amy's got a great voice for what she does. But there's a lot of stuff out there that if she attempted to sing, she wouldn't be able to without changing the range to fit her own.
And I think what makes Cristina a better live singer is that she's able to save her voice more than Amy has been taught to in those 2 or 3 voice lessons Wing-Up had her take before going on the road. So she never sounds like she's gasping for air during any songs. She never sounds tired and she plays everything on key the entire show. It's something that Amy still needs to learn, which should come with experience.
